Meet our Kung-Fu Instructor

CARD’s Kung Fu classes are taught by Master Vince Scocozza. Master Vince has over 45 years of teaching experience! This process sets up a pattern for continued and lasting growth. It’s a key building block for developing success for a child, now and in their future.

Little Kickers

In addition to introducing your child to a new physical activity, Little Kickers focuses on making good choices at home and at school. Softball League Movement

Teams may be moved from their league of choice, at the discretion of the Adult Sports Department, should it be deemed beneficial to the CARD softball program as a whole. Prior team history and records will be considered upon league creation. Spring league champions MAY be moved up to a higher league for the subsequent season if deemed appropriate. Teams that struggle in a given league may also be moved down. Our goal is to facilitate proper league placement over the course of time. While you may not consider yourself a “B” or “C” level team, you may be one of the top teams playing on that evening, making it necessary that you play in a higher (or lower) league.

FAQ’s:

Q: How do I sign my child up? A: To add your child to the after school program waiting list, please visit www.chicorec.com/waitinglist. We will contact you once there is a spot open for your child. Many schools have little or no waiting lists; however, CARD recommends you put your child on the waiting list when they are 2 years old to help ensure you will have a spot when they enter school.

Q: Do I have to put my child on the waiting list each year? A: No. Once you put your child on the waiting list, they stay on until they are offered a spot in the program. Please make sure to contact us to update your phone number if it changes.

Q: Does my child have to attend every day? A: No. The program is for your benefit and you may use it as you feel necessary. The fee for the program is a flat rate fee. CARD does not prorate for days not attended.

My child always looks forward to the CARD After School Program and is even disappointed to leave when I come pick her up. The staff is always engaged with kids and appears to truly enjoy their work. I am grateful for this program and all of the activities for the kids, especially homework help. Thanks also for the very reasonable price!

Nature School is a first learning experience in nature. It is a drop-off program designed for Pre-K, TK and Kindergartners. Children learn about nature, letters, numbers, colors and shapes through crafts, songs, games, animal visits and guided exploration of the park. Each class has different activities. All children should be potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. Our teachers are happy to help facilitate “goodbyes” as is often needed with this age.
