Youth programs help strengthen a young person’s sense of identity and builds character. It’s exhilarating to witness a child gain confidence in their contribution to a team or make a new discovery. We’re here to help children build skills in an approach that positively impacts their development.
DANCE
Gull Point Dance Program Gull Point Resource Center is the premiere facility for dance in Pensacola. With state-of-the-art dance rooms, beginning to advanced dance participants will learn and build their dance skills. Classes include ballet, tap/jazz, lyrical, pointe, tumbling and more. Cobb Computer Lab M – TH | 6 pm – 7:30 pm Free | Ages 14 – 17 The Cobb Resource Center Computer Lab and Library offers a friendly and quiet area for research, academics, business, or leisure enjoyment. Cobb’s afterschool program uses the space Monday-Friday from 2p-6p. Evening use is available for teens at designated times. Fricker Computer Lab M – F | 8 am – 1:30 pm, 6 pm – 9 pm Free | Ages 5 – 17 The Fricker Resource Center Computer Lab is open to youths 5-17 for recreational, academic and businessrelated activities.
Incredible Years Woodland Heights M – T | 9 am – 12 pm Free | Ages: 3 – 4 City of Parks and Recreation has partnered with CDAC Behavioral Healthcare to offer free School Readiness for children to prepare them for academic success upon entering primary grade school. Let Us Play Woodland Heights M, W | 3 pm – 4 pm Free | Ages 6 – 10 This program is offered to youth in the community of Woodland Heights who are not able to take advantage of our afterschool program. Youth may receive mentoring, homework help and organized play August – May of each year.
PATTS Program Cobb M – TH | 2 pm – 4 pm Free | Ages 5 – 12 City of Parks and Recreation has partnered with CDAC Behavioral Health to enhance its afterschool program at Cobb Resource Center by offering homework assistance and tutoring. Child must be enrolled in Cobb’s afterschool program and CDAC’s PATTS Program to participate. The PATTS (Peaceful Alternative to Tough Situations) Program helps children develop social and emotional skills through positive behavioral support. Visit cdac.info or more information.

Galactic Child Yoga East Pensacola Heights T | 4 pm – 5 pm 6-Week Sessions: January 10 – February 28, March 7 – May 2 $96 City Resident, $106 Non-City Resident per 8-Week session | Ages: 4 – 10 The mission of Galactic Child Yoga is to inspire children to fulfill their highest potential. This camp focuses on body awareness, breath, emotional intelligence, essential connections and acts of service. Yoga can help children to develop strong, healthy bodies, increase focus and concentration, cultivate self-esteem, and develop creative expression. Please have your child dress in comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
Bible Study Fricker W | 6 pm – 7 pm Free | All Ages Grief support for children. The mission of Valerie’s House is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives. Program begins September 20 and will operate throughout the school year following the Escambia County School District academic calendar.

Fitness Center Fricker M – F | 8 am – 1:30 pm, 6 pm – 9 pm Free | Ages 14 – 17 Get fit at your own pace in a welcoming atmosphere. Fricker Resource Fitness Center is equipped with easy-to-use cardio and strength training equipment. Staff members can also aid you in crafting your very own custom work out routine. Fricker Resource Fitness Center is open to both youth and adults during its operation hours.
BASEBALL AND T-BALL
Bill Bond Baseball M – S | TBA $185 (T-Ball), $205 (Baseball) Ages: 5 – 17 Bill Bond Baseball helps build the foundation of strong morals, competitive nature and character that is needed in today’s social environment. The program strives to build a winning attitude in all participants. Registration is November through January. Alpha Elite Recreational Youth Basketball League Cobb, Fricker and Woodland Heights T, TH, S (Games) | Game and Practice Times: TBA Ages: 5 – 14 $35 (Ages: 5 – 12), $50 (Ages: 13 – 14), $300 (Team Registration) Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, competitive and nurturing setting. Participants may register as a team or individually and be placed on a team in an age group. Teams will play a regular game season capped off with a single-elimination championship tournament. Her Time To Play Woodand Heights TH | 6 – 7:30 pm. Free | Ages: 17 and under Her Time to Play is a national initiative program dedicated to championing change on behalf of girls and women by providing them with ways to connect, collaborate and actively engage with one another through the game of basketball. The Her Time to Play at Woodland Heights is committed to helping girls develop an interest in basketball through team building exercises, practice sessions and drills.

850 Sports Academy Woodland Heights SU | 10:30 am – 12:30 pm $10 per month | Ages: 5 – 14 The 850 Sports Training Academy promotes youth sports in the Pensacola area to inspire lifelong learning, socio-economic advancement and aspires to strengthen the community by promoting the development of leadership, character, sportsmanship, discipline, and athleticism. Trained coaches and volunteers are available to teach and assist young athletes in basketball, softball, volleyball, and athletic conditioning. Academic tutoring is offered to all youth participants.
