Policy: Enrolment
The Presbyterian Ladies College, Sydney (“The College”) is a school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, with boarding facilities for students in Years 7-12. The College offers a broad curriculum to students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The College aims to educate young women from the basis of a Christian worldview to make a difference in a rapidly changing global society.
The College is a non-selective school and girls are admitted generally in date order of application. Daughters and granddaughters of former students of the College, daughters of staff and sisters of current students are afforded some priority.
Three different types of enrolment are possible:
a. as a student in the mainstream, or
b. as a student from overseas, or
c. as a student in the Transition Program
Continued enrolment at the College is dependent upon the student making satisfactory academic progress, attending consistently, and the student and the parent/carer(s) observing all behavioural codes of conduct and other requirements of the College which are applicable from time to time.
Legislation makes it unlawful to discriminate against a girl by refusing to enrol her at the College on various grounds. The College is committed to fulfilling its obligations under the law.
Information on the steps required to enrol are available on the PLC Sydney website.
