A Living Endowment

The Pa die Lurheran College Development Association lS the Colleges endowment." Most schools and coUeges have large "dead" endowment funds. These are

Pacific Lutheran Colleg also has such a "dead" endowment fund, given by friends in response to an appeal in 1927. However, it is not large, a nd the income fcom it is n ot large. Bur Pacific Lutheran bas a better endowment fund , a "Iiv' g" one. This is the member ship of th Development Association. Llstead of clipping coupons and collecting inter c from inv es ted money, Pacific Lurheran receives from its 'living endowm ent" annual dividends in the f rm of gifts from the members of the Development Association. The more than tcn thousand member of this a sociation have been the ColIege's chief wealth. Without their help the College could undou tedly not
