I am a freshman at BSU and I am majoring in Business with a concentration in Finance. I am from Foxboro, Massachusetts and I love to play basketball and football. I am planning to meet many wonderful people during my career at BSU. Talk to me if any of you have ideas for any possible events, and make sure to attend our scheduled programs!

Heather Dupont Hi! My name is Heather Dupont. I’m a freshman from Leicester, Massachusetts. I’m one of four Programming Assistants for the Honors floor. I’m a psych major with a soon-to-be music minor. I’m always available if you have any questions, or just want to talk. I live in room 68 and my door is always open, so pop in if you have any suggestions about a program or if you just want to hang out!

Mike Koval My name is Michael Koval. I am from East Falmouth, Massachusetts and I am one of the four honors programming assistants. I am majoring in Physics with a minor in secondary education. I am also involved in flag football, and ultimate. I look forward to the rest of the events that are scheduled for the semester, maybe including an obstacle course, but who knows.

Madison Clouatre My name is Madison Clouatre and I am fulfilling the position of the Honor’s Programming Assistant. I am currently a freshman with a double major in Early Childhood Education and Psychology with a Dance minor. The beginning of this year has been very busy for me, but a lot of fun! I’m excited to get to know more of my peers and the staff by working with them, and I’m interested in being more involved. I’m very open to meeting new people and doing new things so please don’t be afraid to make suggestions of things you want to see or do, or to just say hello!

Spring Break Safety Tips Whether you are visiting the beach, or sitting on your couch, we are all excited for spring break! With a week off to relax and have a good time, we need to make sure we are doing our best to stay safe as well! •

because sun increases the effects of alcohol.

On the road… Buckle up! Put your seatbelt on every time you get in the car. You never know what the drivers around you have been doing.

In hotels… Request a room above the 1st floor because they are harder to break into. Also, utilize the safes provided for you.

On the beach… Use sunscreen and if you choose to party in the sun, take it slow

While Partying… If you choose to drink over break, be sure to do so responsibly. Pace yourself, know when to stop, and make arrangements for transportation to and from wherever you decide to party.

When going out… Go out with friends, go home with friends. This will make it a much less risky situation for everyone choosing to go out for the night, plus, you’ll have a much better time!

While Swimming… Mixing alcohol and water is always risky, so use your head! Also, take notice of the warning flags on

Did You Know…

1.5 million students go on spring break every year where they spend $1 billion. Time Management

Plan, plan, plan. Before finals week even starts, take out your calendar and put in the dates and times of all of your finals and plan the rest of your week accordingly leaving proper study time.

Schedule Study Breaks Don’t plan to study nonstop for the next week. You will drive yourself crazy. Study in shorter intervals of time and your efforts will actually produce more positive effects.

Use Study Guides Your teacher gave them to you for a reason, for you to use them! Don’t forget to also review your notes and reread the chapters.

Schedule in Sleep

You need to sleep. You may know every single thing there is to know about your history midterm, but if you go in there and fall asleep because you didn’t get enough sleep, you will not do well.

Exercise Exercise is one of the best stress relievers. Don’t believe it? Try it out, it’s a sure fire way to get your mind off the upcoming exams.

Prioritize

With your busy schedule, you are going to have to decide what to spend the most time studying on. The time you put in is a direct result of what you will get on the exam.

Keep Things in Perspective… What’s the worst thing that can happen if you don’t do well on the exam? Don’t stress yourself out to the point of a mental breakdown. Excessive stress before the exam will only hurt you and your grade. Know when enough is enough and do your best to relax!
