hello ninja-panda! I don’t know about you guys, but it feels like summer is just flying by. I hope that you all have been enjoying the break so far and were able to spend some time in the sun with your friends and family! It’s been so lovely to see so many of you stay involved with Key Club and service through the month of July and I hope that you continue to do that in the month of August. If you have some free time, I highly encourage that you volunteer for the Harmony Arts Festival at John Lawson Park! There are evening shifts running from August 2-11 and you can click HERE to sign up. Proceeds will be going towards DCON and it’s a really amazing way to connect with your Kiwanis-Family! In other news, your club presidents have been working hard alongside me and the Division 18 Lt.G to put together Canada Conference in September. It’s going to be a super fun event and you can read pages 9 & 10 for more information I love you all! I hope you have a great month of August.

In Love and Service, p

WHY SHOULD I COME? Learn more about Key Club while connecting with other members from the Pacific Northwest. Listen to our keynote speakers, attend a variety of different workshops, participate in fun activities and enjoy some free food!

WHAT’S THE THEME? This year’s theme for Canada Conference is “GAME ON TO SERVICE” with sports elements added throughout the event! Make sure to show up with your favourite sports gear and lots of spirit!

WHO’S COMING? Key Clubbers from both Division 13/15/17 and Division 18, members of the Kiwanis-Family, some special guests and of course, YOU! BRING A BUDDY: For every non Key Clubber that you bring to the event, you will receive a free ticket to pie one of your lieutenant governors. WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? All proceeds from Canada Conference will be going towards our 2018-2019 District Project, the Thirst Project. The Thirst Project works towards ending the global water crisis and the PNW District is helping by building wells in a specific region of Swaziland. HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS? Tickets are $10 for early registration, $13 for regular and $15 for late registration and at the door. Registration includes lunch, access to our photobooth and long lasting memories :) REGISTRATION WILL IN EARLY SEPTEMBER

“After moving from Korea, I never felt like I was involved in or belonged to any part of a group. However, after joining Key Club in grade 10, I finally felt like I was making a difference and at the same time, belonged in a group. In Key Club, I made friends that shared a common interest with me. Also, by attending monthly divisional council meetings, it was easy to make connections that will be with me forever. I am delighted that I joined Key Club since it helped me make friends and feel like I belonged. - Ian Hwang, Gleneagle Club President
