Hi Ninja Pandas! Can you believe we are already two months into our term? That’s crazy! Once again, I would like to express my gratitude towards all of you for your continuous effort and passion for Key

Club. Although we are slowly

approaching summer, don’t forget that service never stops! Some ideas include volunteering, cleaning up parks, or hosting events related to our District Service Project or Preferred Charities. Only a few more months until Canada Rally! I hope all of you are as pumped as I am because it’s going to be an action-packed day in Mennonite Educational Institute. The event will take place from 11AM-4PM and the theme will be “RIDE INTO CANADA’S 150TH ANNIVERSARY”! For those of you interested in attending, we will be taking the bus down to Abbotsford. To the seniors leaving us, thank

you for the countless hours you put into

Key Club and the world. I know all of you will continue to climb upwards towards success and I can’t wait to see what you will do in the future! If you will be attending UBC or UVIC, you should definitely continue your servant leader journey through Circle K. Lastly, good luck with upcoming finals and make sure to enjoy the lovely weather! You can do it, Key Clubbers!

In Love and Service,

Lieutenant Governor Division 13/15/17 Pacific Northwest District p: (778) 953-3832 | e: ltg131517@pnwkeyclub.org

HOW KEY CLUB CHANGED MICHELLE’S LIFE “In grade 8, a wandering poster in the hallways caught my attention. Key Club? When I realized that it was a service organization (the world’s oldest and largest!), I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of. However, I didn’t realize how invested I would become. Over the course of my first few years, I was continually inspired and amazed by the actions of Key Clubbers from my home club, neighboring clubs and even clubs from other parts of the world. They proved to me that “kids” can make a difference and I realized that I wanted to make a difference too.

Key Clubbers who came together on a beautiful day in Brighouse Park had the opportunity to meet and bond with members from different schools for the May DCM! Members were assigned to teams and had to compete against each other playing Running Man whilst completing a scavenger hunt! Prizes were awarded to the team who compiled the best album of challenges. We thank all Key Clubbers for attending the May DCM in the scorching heat and we hope you had a great time bonding with other members! We look forward to seeing you at the June DCM!

DCON CHAIR

Hey PNW! My name is Vivia Zhu, and I’m looking forward to serving as your 2017-2018 Convention Chair! I’m currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School, and I’m a proud Division 33 Kraken. This past year, I’ve had the honor of being your Convention Aide and planning DCON 2017, and I’m so excited to continue and make DCON 2018 an even more enjoyable experience. Some of my goals for this year are to increase attendance (especially from smaller divisions), improve the registration and travel process, and create more opportunities for member involvement. Ever since I joined Key Club my freshman year, I’ve been amazed by the amount of spirit, compassion, and selflessness shown by each and every Key Clubber. That is why DCON is not only a celebration of the incredible work that you have put in to serve your community, but it is also an acknowledgment of your passion and dedication to Key Club. I am SO humbled to be a part of this fantastic organization and to serve all of you! If you ever have questions, ideas, or just want to say hello, feel free to contact me over email or social media. Can’t wait to see you all at DCON 2018 :) In Love and Service,

Vivia Zhu Convention Chair Pacific Northwest District Key Club International (253) 266-0490 convention@pnwkeyclub.org
