PNW Division 13/15/17
Volume 6 Issue 3
Hello Division 13/15/17! June is upon us and summer vacation is slowly creeping in. Good luck to those who still have finals and testing this month; you got this! Now is the time to start planning out your summer activities, whether that be ice cream dates or sleeping in. Whatever it is, don’t forget to make some time for Key Club! The service never stops and summer break is the best time to immerse yourself in Key Club. Be on the lookout for fun Divisional activities coming your way! I will be continuing to host monthly DCMs with lots of opportunities to help your community and meet new friends. My upcoming June DCM will be a Walk for Water, in support of our new District Project, the Thirst Project! Our District Governor, Ingrid Redford will also be in attendance at the DCM. Our Division is one of the few divisions that actually gets to be visited by the District Governor, so definitely come out! If you are only able to make it out to one DCM this term, our June DCM is the one to go to. I have been working hard with our Presidential Council and Division 18’s Lt.G to organize our Canada Conference (previously Canada Interclub) in September. All branches of the Kiwanis Family will be invited and it will be a day full of activities and learning. Have a lovely day! Enjoy the sunshine while you can :) In Love and Service, Michelle Yang Division 13/15/17 Lieutenant Governor P: (778) 988-8198 E: ltg131517@pnwkeyclub.org

The Thirst Project is the world’s LARGEST youth water organization. They seek to educate students on the global water crisis and empower them to go out and raise funds for global projects. The PNW District has set a goal of fundraising $75 000 towards a specific region of Swaziland.
Swaziland has the highest population density of HIV/AIDS and for someone with AIDS, drinking dirty water can kill them faster than the AIDS itself. Swaziland’s population is also small enough to make it possible to eliminate the water crisis
