Greetings Hey May! Hey Stars! Already it has been almost two months since I was installed as your Lieutenant Governor! Beginning of May, AP/IB testings and finals are just rolling around the corner‌. I wish every one of you taking any tests a huge good luck! May the odds be ever in your favor. ď Š Now, back to Key Club business~ Congratulations to all new officers elected for the 2015-2016 term! I know you all will have an amazing year. Please remember that it is crucial that at least 2 officers from each club attend the Divisional Council Meeting (DCM). More officers, more members, the better! Seniors, remember that even if your time is almost up in Key Club, it does not mean that your time is up in service to our community. Thank you for an amazing past two months and see you all soon! Feel free to contact me anytime with questions/concerns or to talk! <3

In love and service, Sharon Lee Division 38 Lieutenant Governor

April Joint DCM Thank you everyone who came out to the Joint April DCM! Although the location was a little far away from our area, I'm so happy I was able to see some of you stars come out! I hope you all had fun and see you all soon at the May DCM!!

MAY DCM Who: Advisor and Members of Division 38 When: TBD Where: TBD I will be emailing and posting on the divisional page about the information on the May DCM in the near futureď Š

What is MNT? In 28 countries around the world, maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) can quickly turn the joy of childbirth into tragedy. MNT kills one baby every nine minutes. Who suffers from MNT? MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere, come into contact with open cuts during childbirth. The disease strikes the poorest of the poor, the geographically hard to reach and those without health care. Can MNT be stopped? Yes! MNT is highly preventable. Just three doses of a 60-cent immunization protect mothers, who then pass on the immunity to their future babies. Together, Kiwanis and UNICEF can stop this disease. WORKING TOGETHER ďƒ Preferred Charities is a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit hospitalized kids while increasing awareness of its member hospitals. All CMN Hospitals contributions directly benefit hospitals, helping to purchase up-to-date equipment, train staff, conduct life-saving research, implement outreach programs and provide health care for children whose parents can’t afford to pay.

is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. March of Dimes was founded by our 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, in the fight against polio. After the discovery of the polio vaccine, March of Dimes focused their efforts to improve the health of babies and has been successful with the help and enthusiasm of many grassroots volunteers.

the only organization of the United Nations dedicated exclusively to children, works with other United Nations bodies, governments and non-governmental organizations to assist in children’s needs through community-based services in primary health care, basic education, and safe water and sanitation in more than 150 developing countries.
