Meet the Brno Expat Centre

The following pages are written by the Brno Expat Centre, a free public service supported by the City of Brno and dedicated to helping foreign professionals = Brno expats.

Currently, there are some 10,000 foreign professionals, or expats, living in Brno. We’re talking about researchers, managers, technical experts, businesspeople, creators. The City of Brno tries to attract (and keep) these skilled foreigners with the potential to contribute to the growth of the city. That’s why almost 12 years ago, the Brno Expat Centre was created.

How can the Brno Expat Centre help you

We’re here to advise expats on a variety of daily living issues: from residence permits, taxes and doctors, to legal issues, trade licences and schooling for their children. If you’re in need of assistance, feel free to contact our consultants and experts - start by visiting our webpage. Over the years, we’ve gathered a whole library of guides and step-by-step manuals that might also give you answers immediately. Apart from consulting, we also organise many events throughout the year; for networking, or to educate. Follow us on our social media (FB, Insta), or subscribe to our monthly newsletter, to stay up to date on the latest changes that affect you and your life in Brno. All of our services are available free of charge to skilled foreign professionals and their families who live and work in Brno, or plan to do so.
