AC-X 4G What it’s all about? Race performance without cams. The AC-X is developed to be the fastest sail on the water, without having a wide mast sleeve and cambers. The high end performance will give you the high speed that you have always dreamed about with minimal effort and easy handling characteristics. What’s new for 2014? Already a magazine test winner in 2013, the AC-X 4G development team focused on improving the lightness and high-end performance of the sail even further in over-powered conditions. The process included a full reshaping of the sail outline and leech to reduce drag in the upper section of the sail. To maintain power and enhance the stability in both low and high wind condition the entry profile in the sail was increased, giving more forward drive and a very locked-in feeling only comparable to a cambered sail. Having maintained the original features of the AC-X, the new 4G version will now let you enjoy true high-wind performance! Available sizes: 5.2 – 5.8 – 6.5 – 7.0 – 7.5 – 8.0 -8.5 – 9.0

Once the sail is rigged, batten 1, 6 & 7 need to have good tension to obtain the profile as in the diagram. Batten 2 to 4 need to have just enough to remove some wrinkles. On batten do not get the profile in the batten as B, but make sure it has some tension. It will help to have a bit more acceleration.
