location Being one of the only places in the Canaries, where you can combine a beach holiday with windsurfing, and serving as a perfect spot with a diverse range of conditions, we are choosing Costa Teguise in Lanzarote as the base for our 2017 training camp. The ideal location and conditions of this spot will give us the perfect grounds for training on and off the water.
what is it about? It’s about bringing once again, slalom training to a new level with a team of professionals. It’s open to all slalom riders, who want to improve their racing, independently from the gear they use. The team of pros who will be running the event, will not just be sailing with you around the course, but will be there to correct your skills, your tactics, your trimming and tuning of personal gear. Our full time trainer will be there for assuring a total balance for your mind and body for racing competitively. It will be a revolution to what has been created till now in slalom training. Andrea Cucchi inventor from the Winter Training in Tenerife, which had brought Alberto Menegatti to be the first young rider to prove that it was possible to fight against the most experience riders, has decided to take his project one step ahead in a totally new location.
for who? The training camp is open to any rider independently from the gear they use. The rider needs to have an experience in slalom sailing. kids week? From the 27th Feb to the 4th of March, a special week will be included for kids from the age of 12 to 17years old. Same rules are applying as for the rest of the people who will come, but of course extra care will be taken, for them to learn all the tricks of trade.
your schedule? You can come for any length of stay during the dates. If you want to have the full month, be our guest. gear Bring your gear, as we will help you tune it for you to get the max out of it. If you stay for a month, make sure you at least have one sail and one board, for light, medium and strong wind. Otherwise, if you come for a week or so, just before you pack to join us, drop us a mail and we will let you know what gear will be needed for the week. extragear If you have, bring your fit ball, your exercise mat and TRX or similar.

To maintain the focus during the long hours of the day that riders need to race, it’s important to be fit and healthy. I will be available to sort out personal training programs to improve this for each one of you, and we will have daily training according to the work out done on the water. We will make sure that you will recover fast to be fit for the next day.

I’ve been working as PWA judge for many years, and it will be a total pleasure to bring my knowledge for those who will be ready to take part at our slalom training stage. My focus will be to get everyone to understand their mistakes on the course and correct them instantly. Be ready to have a course set like in the real PWA events!
