Once you’ve arrived, Lublin is a breeze to get around! Whether you’re touching down at the airport or stepping off the train at Lublin Główny train station (F-5), public transport is in place, ready to zip you to the historic centre or wherever else you need to go. A ride on one of the city’s buses and trolleybuses costs 4/2zł for a 40min ticket. Visit ztm.lublin.eu or download the jakdojade or mobileMPK free phone apps for routes and schedules. Lublin offers a city-wide scan-and-go bike share service between April and November. Check out lubelskirower.pl or scan the QR code on the bike station terminal; first 30mins 1zł, next 30mins 0.50zł, each additional hour 1zł. Bolt the global rideshare and electric scooter app - is also available in Lublin.

Niezależnie od tego, czy lądujesz na lotnisku, czy wysiadasz z pociągu na dworcu Lublin Główny (F-5), transportem publicznym możesz łatwo i szybko dostać się do historycznego centrum lub gdziekolwiek indziej. Festival of Lublin Legends, “Viper”
Thanks to Lublin's unique cultural heritage, with its diversity of faiths and changing anxieties over the centuries, various stories and superstitions have become attached to the major sites and landmarks of the city’s historic centre. The oldest of these is that of a three-headed dragon, or 'viper,' who chose to live under the city and was responsible for bringing the rain for the crops as well as guarding Lublin from dead souls who roamed the land. Elsewhere, Saint Michael is said to have visited the dreams of a Cracovian prince napping under an oak tree where Plac Po Farze now stands, demanding him to take his army and pursue the local Baltic tribes who had been ransacking the city. In the market square, an unmanned oxen-drawn cart loaded with golden treasures is said to have appeared one dark and stormy night after lightning struck! On a quiet corner of ul. Jezuicka is a cursed executioner's stone, which is said to bring bad luck upon anyone who dares to touch it. The clock on Kraków Gate is said to have a mind of its own, thanks to a long-passed alcoholic timekeeper, Mr. Lutowski, who would take out his anger by throwing bottles at the clock’s mechanism. Lastly, on ul. Bernardyńska, a failed lawyer named Boczarski is said to have incorrectly constructed a windmill on his property, causing him to go bankrupt; his ghost can be seen moping around the site to this very day.
