Around the Corner Suitable for Year 2 Pupils An interactive workshop which uses puppetry, performance and participation to engage pupils in understanding good Road Safety. Join Spike, a six year old boy, who is making his way to school with his Dad. Help Spike and his Dad to get to school by building the route, choosing safe places to cross the road and identifying potential hazards.
The workshop effectively reinforces: the Green Cross Code how to use safer crossing places, covering pelican, zebra and school crossings awareness of potential hazards as a pedestrian sustainable travel positive parent-child relationships healthy living through promotion of the initiative Walk Once A Week.
