PROPOSED COMPLETE STREETS IMPROVEMENTS

A

Removing raised curbing in pedestrian island and replacing with enhanced markings and curbing improves accessibility and safety for users. Installing bike lane markings in bike lanes increases awareness for drivers and safety for users.

A B

Creating pedestrian amenities in “parklet” as well as pedestrian features to Simpson Park will allow greater and safer multimodal use of the intersection and park. Fully signalizing the intersection with complete pedestrian features and crosswalks will improve safety for all users.

C

Reducing curb radii on corners will provide a greater pedestrian refuge area and increase safety. Installing bicycle boxes will increase the awareness for drivers and safety for users.

D

Creating bike lanes and markings and eliminating the westbound free flow right turn lane improves bicycle and pedestrian awareness and safety. Removing excessive foliage which blocks signage improves visibility and user safety.
