OUPC White Tie Ball; Natural History Museum, London; Saturday 14 May White Tie Extravaganza

The Oxford University Polo Club (OUPC) white tie polo ball was first held in 2014 and past venues have included Blenheim Palace, the Tower of London and Waddesdon Manor; after a two year hiatus due to Covid, OUPC came back with the largest ball in the Club’s history at the iconic Natural History Museum London and was attended by OUPC members and alumni, as well as members of 20+ polo clubs from all over the UK and internationally, with a total of 450 guests. The evening began at 7pm outside the entrance to the museum where guests were greeted by two Oxford Polo Ponies. The facade of the museum was illuminated in the colours of the Club. Upon entry to the museum there was a drinks reception in Fossil Way. Guests then proceeded to the iconic Hintze Hall where they enjoyed live entertainment and a lavish dinner, with pudding kindly provided by the Barefoot Bakery. After-dinner entertainment continued in Hintze Hall, where guests danced to an integrated live DJ-musician performance. Definitely a night to remember!

St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament; Saturday 16 April; Errol Park Estate, Perth £20,000 Raised for Help for Heroes

April 2022 saw the return of the St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament which raises money for Help for Heroes. The tournament is a three-day event seeing players travel from across the UK and across the pond! 2,000 spectators enjoyed the final day which saw students celebrate the sport whilst supporting the fundraising efforts for Help for Heroes. 26 teams played across all divisions and with St Andrews alumni players welcomed back.

This year an astounding £20,000 was raised for Help for Heroes, adding to the £92,000 that has been raised throughout the years. Next year hopes to be a bigger and better event allowing further contributions to Help for Heroes. Please turn to our Youth pages for the results from the day.
