Blanco TX Cup
World Polo League narrowly defeated Tackeria, 3-2, in the Final of The Blanco TX Cup at Everglades Polo Club on Monday 17 January. The consolation match saw GJ Racing defeat Chukker TV, 6-1; Jack Whitman was chosen as the Most Valuable Player, Ramon Caro (GJ Racing) received the Sportsmanship Award and the Best Playing Pony was GoGo, played by Fran Spinacci (Chukker TV) and owned by Santa Rita Polo Farm. The second half of the day saw two more Polo Training Foundation matches, with Power Group Total Care defeating Aspen Valley Polo Club 7-1 and Mayer Ranch triumphing, 8-3, over Red Barn.

U.S. Polo Assn Junior Tournament
On Monday 21 February, Santa Rita Polo Farm hosted the U.S. Polo Assn Junior Tournament; Grand Champions (Maeve Reicher, Harrison Reicher, Ava Nunes, Paquito de Narvaez) won The Tackeria President’s Day Cup and Aspen Valley Polo Club (Santiago Gonzalez, Francisco Spinacci, Cruz Bilbao, Artemio Figueras) won the historic Avendano Trophy. Grand Champions’ Paquito de Narvaez and Power Group Total Care’s Milo MacDonough were named as Most Valuable Players.
AHPRC Kids’ Exhibition
On Sunday 23 January, prior to The Bentley Emirates Silver Cup at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, the Al Habtoor Polo Academy hosted a polo exhibition for the young talent to demonstrate their skills as well as enjoying playing polo with friends. After the match, Mohammed Al Habtoor, Chairman of the UAE Polo Federation, awarded the players prizes from Black Hound Sports Dubai.
