As the temperatures dipped and the leaves began to tumble, Guards Polo Club’s Chairman’s Awards Evening marked the end of another successful polo season at the Club. As ever, guests’ taste buds were treated to the finest Mosimann’s had to offer, as well as a spectacular fireworks display, alongside of course the awards presentations which this year were won by: Best Team: Spencer McCarthy’s Emlor Polo (received on behalf of the team by Richard Tyrone) Most Improved Player: Max Sponer Best Handicapped Player: Manny Arber (collected on his behalf by his father Simon) Best Professional Player: Richard Tyrone (with an impressive 80 per cent win rate) Best Umpire: Jamie Hayward Greatest Contribution to Club Life: Fafe & Rosemary Mudzingwa
