PONSSE Scorpion Giant - Power in various conditions

The PONSSE Scorpion Giant is only a giant in terms of productivity and power. The new harvester adds to the Scorpion product range, which was upgraded in 2021. Machines in the Scorpion product range are not only effective, but also agile and balanced tools.
According to customer needs, the Scorpion Giant has more traction, which helps the machine be agile even in challenging conditions, including snow, steep slopes and soft terrain. The new C50+ harvester crane fitted in the Scorpion Giant is in a league of its own when it comes to lifting power, also when handling larger stems. The PONSSE Scorpion Giant is the most powerful harvester in the Scorpion product range, while the PONSSE Bear offers the most power of all Ponsse harvesters. The Scorpion Giant is available equipped with the H6, H7, H7 HD Euca or H8 harvester head.
UNIQUE ERGONOMICS
Cabin ergonomics and usability have been one of the leading themes in Ponsse’s research and development in recent years, alongside the development of safety. In PONSSE Scorpion machines, including the new Giant, visibility has been improved in all directions – the new cabin features a one-piece windscreen that extends to the roof of the cabin, offering even better visibility and ensuring safe working in all conditions. The cabin is like a practical and quiet office with a view, developed to support the operator’s comfort and wellbeing.
The Scorpion Giant consists of all the familiar features of other Scorpion machines, and they have been developed even further, including more tractive effort and C50+ crane whose fork boom offers excellent visibility of the logging site and increased lifting power.
The Scorpion Giant also includes unique active levelling and stabilization system known from other Scorpion models. With the introduction of the Scorpion Giant, the H8 harvester head can now be fitted to a machine in the Scorpion product range. The Scorpion Giant is available with the highly advanced and modern Opti 5G system and the Opti 8 touchscreen computer.
MORE PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH NEW FEATURES
Opti 5G, the most modern user interface on the market, combined with the Opti 8 computer, elevates the usability of PONSSE forest machines’ information systems to an entirely new level. The powerful C50+ crane connected to the Opti 5G information system also enables the installation of the PONSSE Harvester Active Crane control system, offering a new way to control the crane and make working more efficient. With Active Crane, operators can directly control the locations of the harvester head, instead of the individual operations of the crane. This allows the operator to focus on wood processing, not only controlling the crane.
Harvester Active Crane, available as an option, requires the Opti 5G control system, which is currently available in the Scorpion product range’s harvesters in certain market areas.
