Bydd y dangosiad ffilm Kiss yn cynnwys, yng ngwir arddull Warhol, perfformiad cerddorol byw gan neb llai na Datblygu - David R. Edwards a Pat Morgan – fydd yn perfformio set byw mewn digwyddiad unigryw sy’n cyfuno ffilm danddaearol â cherddoriaeth byw. Mae Datblygu wedi bod yn diffinio celfyddyd amgen Cymreig ers dechrau’r 1980au. Mae eu recordiau a Sesiynau Radio John Peel wedi trawsnewid celfyddyd Gymraeg am byth. Hir oes!
In conjunction with the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg we are proud to announce a special big screen outing for Andy Warhol’s Kiss (1963) one of Warhol’s earliest underground film classics. The screening of the film Kiss will simultaneously feature, in true Warhol style, an on-stage musical performance by Welsh legends Datblygu who will be playing a live set in a unique one time only mix of underground film and live music. Datblygu have been defining alternative Welsh language culture since the early 1980s. Their classic recordings and numerous John Peel Radio Sessions have permanently bent Welsh culture into new and wonderful shapes and long may they continue to do so.
Some of our pictures are silent and on some the sound is so poor that anything that covers it is an improvement. Andy blows up an idea bigger, better and louder by having the musicians play live on stage while the movie is being shown. When you come out of the movie house, your head echoes for days and you have trouble hearing anything but an ambulance. Ultra Violet Original Warhol Superstar / Famous for 15 mins

Cyfle i glywed Dylan Huw Edwards yn holi’r awdur poblogaidd Jon Savage am ei waith. Bydd y digwyddiad hefyd yn mynd ati i drafod os oes dyfodol ar gyfer ysgrifennu beirniadol am gerddoriaeth pop, ffilm a chelfyddyd yn dilyn Brexit a’r dyfodol ansicr.
As well as offering us a chance to hear Jon discuss his highly popular books in conversation with Dylan Huw Edwards the event will also aim to explore the changing role – if there is one! - for critical writing about pop, film and culture in our postBrexit/post-truth age.
