Poppy was thinking one day... “Fred... Do you think Santa Claus ever gets any presents ???
He travels all over the world giving children presents but do you think anyone gives one to him ?� “Fred, lets go to Lapland and take Santa Claus a present ?�
Poppy made 3 presents to take to Santa Claus.
Some mince pies... some homemade cookies... and a sledge because there’s lots of snow there. Once done, they were packed and ready to go...
First they had to travel by boat. Through the crashing waves and the icy winds. Eventually they reached the waters edge and it was time to face the snowy shore.
As soon as they stepped out onto
the snow Fred was making friends.
“Which way do we go?” said Poppy, “It all looks the same to me.” “We know the way!” said the penguins. “We can take you as far as the mountains.” And so they set off through the snow
The penguins made them laugh
all the way and soon it was time to say goodbye.
Poppy thought, they have been so kind, I’d like to give them one of my three presents. “Please, take this sledge so you can slide all the way back home”
Poppy and Fred began the trek
up the big mountains in front of them. 1 mountain... 2 mountains 3 mountains... and on they went.
“ Fred, it’s soooooo cold and the mountains are sooo steep! I wish there was an easier way...” Just then Fred had an idea ...
Fred let out the biggest
“HOWWWWWWWLLL� he could manage. and ...
just like that they were surrounded by eagles. Fred explained to the eagles the problem and they said they were happy to help.
Well...
Poppy was taken by complete surprise... “Uhhhh ooooo... what is happening?” said Poppy. Then, she realised they were flying ! “Oh Fred, this is wonderful !!!” The eagles flew through the day and all of the night. Over hills and rivers...

“ ventually, the eagles swooped down and dropped Poppy and Fred in a large pile of snow. Poppy wanted to say thank you, so she gave the eagles all her mince pies. Now she only had one present left for Santa Claus.
Fred had already begun to lead
the way through the deep dark forest in front of them. His nose gave him a very good idea where to go.
Poppy was beginning to feel very worried. “We are never going to get to Santa Claus� said Poppy
Then, there was a rustle in the trees and tinkling of bells ... A shiny red nose appeared and you’ll never guess who it was ?
Only Rudolph himself, followed by all his friends.
Rudolph invited Poppy and Fred to climb on board and off they set through the snow.

“ he reindeeers sped on through the night under the moon and the stars until eventually they stopped with a thud. They had arrived in a magical place Poppy wanted to say thank you and gave the reindeers all of her cookies.

“ hat will I give Santa Claus now?” said Poppy. Just then there was a “HO HO HO ! Hello Poppy, hello Fred !” It was Santa Claus ! He gave them both a large hug. “You came all this way just to see me. That is the biggest gift I could wish for !”
