ADMISSION BENEFITS

Our drop-in admission fee and pass options provide access to drop-in activities during their scheduled times. Amenities include the fitness center, group exercise, water exercise, whirlpool spa, play swims, and open gym times. Swim lessons, camps, and classes are offered at a set fee—no additional admission fee will be charged when participating in these registered activities.

CLOSURES

Occasionally, specific facilities within the center (i.e. spa pool, slide, lap pool, etc.) may be closed or have limited operating hours due to repairs, maintenance, inclement weather, holidays, and/or special events. Such closings will not result in a reduction of pass holders’ rates or drop-in admission fees. When possible, the times and dates of closures will be posted in advance. LOCKER ROOMS AND LOCKERS

Lockers are available for day use only. Locks are available for purchase, or bring your own lock to secure personal belongings. Use of lockers is at your own risk. Southwest Community Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home. All patrons are requested to use the locker room for the gender with which they identify. Youth supervised by an adult of a different gender may accompany that adult in to the locker room of the adult's gender. All-user changing rooms are also available. The use of cameras, video recording devices and equipment with digital photography capability is strictly prohibited in locker rooms and public restroom facilities.

With resources from the Parks Local Option Levy (Parks Levy), we can offer new payment options for City of Portland residents that allow you to choose payment levels based on your needs. Our daily drop-in fee provides access to dropin activities throughout the entire day. Swim laps in the morning, enjoy an exercise class at noon, and relax in the whirlpool spa in the evening...all for the cost of one daily admission fee! If re-entry on the same date is desired, receipt must be requested at time of original transaction.

20-VISIT PASS

20-Visit Passes are a great option for those who plan to work out only once a week. In addition, 20-Visit Passes are a great option for organizations who would like to bring a larger group of visitors (please call ahead). The passes provide unlimited day-use of at a discounted rate. 20-Visit Passes are valid for 2 years and are transferable between people of the same age group. Pass holders must be present at the time of scan.

MONTH PASS

Looking for ongoing access to drop-in activities? This is the pass for you! One monthly fee provides unlimited visits to scheduled drop-in programs throughout the facility. For your convenience, you can choose to sign up for an Auto Renew Pass, which will allow you to simply pay your first monthly fee upon registering, and all future monthly payments are deducted directly from your debit or credit card (requires a valid card to remain on file). You may also choose to purchase a single month pass, which will expire 30 days from purchase (no debit or credit card necessary).

ACCESS PASS

City of Portland residents can register for a free Access Pass to receive an ongoing discount of up to 90%. The pass is valid for 12 months from the date of enrollment. No proof of income is required. An Access Pass may be applied to: • Admission to recreation centers and pools • Classes, camps, swim lessons, and other registered activities • Preschool and after school programs • Personal training Once you have registered for an Access Pass, sign up for any PP&R activity or purchase an admission pass at a reduced cost. Your Access Pass will automatically apply for 12 months.

Southwest Community Center’s fitness program offers a wide-range of amenities and classes for all levels. Access to the fitness center is included with daily admission. Teens age

Do you know where to go to find a professional who can determine if someone you love has dementia? If you have considered these questions, come join us to learn more about dementia vs. normal aging, how to find help and a possible diagnosis, and learn some of the ways to interact with those with dementia with care, compassion, respect and dignity for everyone. Music, singing and humming have been shown to be powerful tools to use during caregiving routines to improve the quality of life for both the care receiver and care giver, and the relationship between the two.
