Submit your official transcripts to PSU, including English translation. To speed up the application review process, upload unofficial copies of your transcripts online at pdx.edu/undergraduate-admissions/international. Admitted students are required to submit official transcripts and documents in order to enroll at PSU.

FRESHMEN REQUIREMENTS • 3.0+ high school grade point average (GPA) on the U.S. 4.0 grading scale

TR ANSFER REQUIREMENTS If you have 30 or more transfer quarter credits (20 semester credits) after high school graduation — excluding English as a Second Language (ESL) courses — we will review you as a transfer student. • 2.25 or higher grade point average (GPA) on the U.S. 4.0 grading scale

ENGL ISH L ANGUAGE PROFICIENC Y REQUIREMENT Students who want to immediately begin their university coursework must meet PSU’s undergraduate English Language Proficiency Requirement: TOEFL

• Internet-based: minimum overall score of 71; minimum subscores of 15 in reading and writing

PSU will waive TOEFL/IELTS for students who complete a transferable associate degree from a U.S. institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and eight credits of college-level writing (including the equivalent of WR 121 and an additional higher-level college writing course) with a grade of a C- or better. Students who want to improve their academic English or who do not meet PSU’s undergraduate English Language Proficiency Requirement may enroll in an English Language Pathway program. Final placement in a Pathway program is determined by individual TOEFL or IELTS results and the final language placement test upon arrival.
