STUDENT PROFILE

kendall wapner HOMETOWN: Los Angeles, CA MAJOR: Mathematics | Quantitative Economics THOUGHTS ON THE RAIN IN PORTLAND: I love the rain in general, being able to cozy up with tea while it rains outside is my favorite. GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR AT PSU: Having my name listed on the President's list.

STUDENT PROFILE

matthew carr HOMETOWN: Vancouver, WA MAJOR: Architecture FAVORITE THING TO DO IN PORTLAND: I love going to house shows, the nickel arcade and discovering thrift shops and coffee shops. FAVORITE CLASS IN YOUR MAJOR: My architecture studio class. It serves as a creative outlet and presents intensive problemsolving exercises which are incredibly stimulating as a design student.

FAVORITE PROFESSOR: Juan Heredia! He has a relaxed and helpful nature, which is beneficial in the high-pressure setting of architecture studios. BEST THING ABOUT PSU: The location. I love being downtown and feeling like I'm part of a bigger city. MOMENT YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: I'll never forget when I was accepted into the Professional Track of the Architecture Program after my portfolio review.

FAVORITE PROFESSOR: Noah Dear. I took his Calc III class, and although his class was a heavy workload and fastpaced, he was consistent and did his best to make sure we understood new concepts. WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR MAJOR: My favorite part about being a math major is building on the fundamentals of math and reaching more complex concepts. What I appreciate about being an economics major is its applicability, especially in understanding politics.
