TRANSFER, CONTINUING, AND GRADUATE STUDENTS

APARTMENTS & HOUSING OPTIONS

LIVE IN PORTLAND

Portland State University offers a truly unique campus living experience. You’ll find a home immersed in both an exciting urban setting and a thriving campus life—a place where work and play go hand in hand and the city is your home and your classroom. You’ll be steps away from public transit, music and entertainment, dining, shopping, and more. At Portland State, there are more transfer and continuing students living on campus than first year students. Students can choose from a variety of studio or 1-bedroom apartments, which include kitchens and private bathrooms, or opt for sleepers, studio suites, or quad units with shared bathrooms and kitchens. With so many different housing options on campus, PSU has a home that’s right for you.

WHY LIVE ON CAMPUS? CONVENIENCE

You’re a short walk to classes and all campus resources and can easily take public transportation to run errands and explore the city. Enjoy the perks of getting to live in downtown Portland.

COST-EFFECTIVE

The most affordable way to live in downtown Portland! No commuting or parking necessary and no separate utility bills—electric, water, gas and wireless internet are included in your campus housing costs.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Student mentors and professional staff offer direct support in your transition to PSU. We provide you with the tools and resources you need to help you achieve your academic goals and graduate on time.

COMMUNIT Y ENGAGEMENT

Living on campus makes you part of a vibrant, supportive community. Our residents come from Portland, out of state, and abroad. We help you build community by organizing educational and social activities throughout the year.

PAYING FOR HOUSING

Rates include all utilities and internet. Housing is billed to the student account at the start of each term (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Each term is approximately 3 months long. Students can pay in full at the start of each term or enroll in the PSU Payment Plan to pay monthly. Financial Aid can be used to pay for housing depending on your award package. Submit your FAFSA now if you haven’t already!

DINING

Meal plans are optional for transfer, continuing, and graduate students and can be purchased at dineoncampus.com/psu.
