Cirque du Soleil ® is returning to Northshore Hamilton, Brisbane in April 2015 with a spectacular new show presented under its much-loved blue and yellow Big Top.

Written and directed by multidisciplinary artist Robert Lepage, TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly.

Since its World Premiere in 2010, more than 3 million people across 29 cities worldwide have been mesmerized by the intimacy and beauty of TOTEM, winner of the 2013 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Featuring a cast of 45 acrobats, actors, musicians and singers, TOTEM is an uplifting array of athleticism, comedy, heartfelt emotions and surprising visual effects.

Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates our evolutionary progress through jaw-dropping acrobatic acts and stunning imagery. Somewhere between science and legend, TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential.

Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass.

DO ICE CREAM BETTER THAN ITALY? It’s called ‘kulfi’ and it is similar to ice cream...but arguably better. While it looks just like ice-cream, it is denser and creamier and will take a lot longer to melt into a puddle in the bottom of your bowl. Aamaya Indian Restaurant makes kulfi in the traditional way by slowly heating the milk, reducing it by half then adding Indian flavours such as the three served in the Portside Wharf restaurant mango, pista or saffron. Try it for yourself and see if you can decide what’s better - kulfi or ice cream?

SOLD OUT LINK AT PORTSIDE WHARF

Brookfield Residential Properties’ Link at Portside Wharf is now complete and ready to welcome its first residents.

Pinnacle is now more than 70 per cent sold with total sales in excess of $90 million.

Link sold out of its 32, one bedroom apartments in September last year, with sales reaching $13.5 million.

Mr Butterworth said the remaining apartments in Pinnacle would not last long so buyers should act quickly.

Brookfield Residential Properties General Manager Lee Butterworth said investors had moved quickly to take advantage of entry-level prices in an established precinct. “Link was an appealing opportunity for savvy investors looking to capitalise on the benefits of offering a rental space with everything at its doorstep,” he said. “The speedy sell-out of Link proved there was a gap in the market that we were able to fill with the right product at the right time. “Portside Wharf’s proven ability to meet market demand and provide quality apartments in a timely manner gives buyers confidence in the precinct and ensures its continued success.” Mr Butterworth said the four-level building was located at the grand entrance to Portside Wharf and provided an additional 522sqm of retail space on the ground floor. “The completion of Link has really activated the precinct and connected the community by providing retail and activity on both sides of the main entrance,” he said. “With our sixth building, Pinnacle, nearing completion, development is moving forward in leaps and bounds which has been a real boost for the precinct.”

“For those wanting to take advantage of the unique living opportunity on offer at Portside Wharf, there is still a cross section of options available in Pinnacle, but once the building is complete and buyers can see, touch and feel what is on offer, those opportunities won’t last,” he said. “Pinnacle is our premier residential building occupying a prime river fronting position with most apartments boasting river and city views through floor to ceiling windows that have been designed to capture the best of the vistas and breezes. “Residents also have exclusive access to the building’s rooftop infinity pool, barbeque and entertainment area and gymnasium as well as onsite management and security.” All penthouse and three bedroom apartments in Pinnacle have sold out. Six River Terraces and a good mix of two bedroom apartments remain, priced from $590,000. The 15-level building has 162 apartments, all with secure car parking, and direct access to the lively retail precinct filled with dining, shopping, conveniences and entertainment.

LIVING

13

The completion of Link has really activated the precinct and connected the community by providing retail and activity on both sides of the main entrance.

Mr Butterworth said Portside Wharf’s location was a huge draw card and the imminent upgrade to Kingsford Smith Drive would only serve to increase its appeal. “The Queensland Government is investing over $650 million to turn Kingsford Smith Drive into a six lane boulevard with pedestrian, walking and cycle tracks,” he said. “This enormous infrastructure investment will ensure Northshore Hamilton, of which Portside Wharf is the central hub, continues to grow as Brisbane’s largest mixed-use, integrated residential community and urban renewal project.” Portside Wharf is located six kilometres from the CBD, 15 minutes from the Brisbane Airports and within easy reach of the Gateway Motorway and public transport including the CityCat. The Pinnacle display apartment is now open. Bookings are essential and can be arranged through the sales and information centre. Portside Wharf is home to more than 35 retailers including a Dendy Cinema, IGA supermarket, Jetts Fitness, Ella Baché, Urbbana Men’s Style Studio and Bou’s for Men barber as well as restaurants and cafes including Sono, Byblos, Gusto da Gianni, The Burrito Bar, Aamaya Indian Restaurant and Bamboo Basket.

For further information, visit the Portside Wharf Sales & Information Centre in the Portside Wharf Plaza, at 39 Hercules Street, open between 10am and 4pm daily.
