If you’re a group retiree, or part of a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement Health plan,

Fitness classes at the Topsail Senior Center Enjoy the following fitness classes that are offered at the Topsail Senior Center, 20959 Highway 17, Hampstead. You may sign up the day class begins or call 270-0708 for more information. •A modified pilates class is offered on Monday. Amy Coleman, a native to the area is our instructor. Come improve your posture, tone your whole body, expand your range of motion, and relieve stress. The cost is $12 per month. Please sign up at Topsail Senior Center. •Gentle yoga will be offered at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Yoga provides health benefits for adults of all ages and fitness levels, and seniors can especially benefit from the increased flexibility and balance it offers. The cost is $12 per month. Instructor will be Kathy Yakimovich. Please sign up at Topsail Senior Center. •Vitality in Action will be offered on Fridays at noon. Amy

Coleman offers this class that is Pilates with a twist. Cost is $12 per month. Please sign up at Topsail Senior Center. •Vinyasi yoga will be offered at Topsail Senior Center at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Vinyasi yoga is more advanced than gentle yoga. Cost is $12 per month (four sessions). Instructor will be Kathy Yakimovich. Please sign up at Topsail Senior Center. •Tai Chi for Arthritis class meets on Tuesday from 3:15-4 p.m. The cost is $15 for 10- week class. •Advanced Tai Chi -class meets on Thursday from 11:15 a.m. until noon. Class will be $15 for 10 week-class. Instructor will be Kathy Yakimovich. •Geri-fit is a class offered on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:15-10 a.m. This is a 45-minute strength training exercise class for older adults. fear is not dying – but rather losing their independence. Right before RSVP was approved for another threeyear grant term, we set our focus area on healthy futures. T his includes caring for our homebound seniors by providing companion care or respite care. There is a constant need for more companions. Volunteer one or two hours a week to visit with a new friend. The more volunteers we have, the more people we can provide our services to. We have also taken on providing volunteers for the Meals on Wheels program in Pender County. RSVP volunteers deliver MOW in Hampstead, Scotts Hills, Maple Hill, Burg aw, and soon Atkinson. It is a big commitment for RSVP to insure enough volunteers to provide this service. It takes under an hour to deliver one of these routes. We always need back-up drivers to help out when there is sickness or vacation. Choose
