• We are an intellectually
exciting department organised thematically rather than by discipline. Staff and students come from a wide range of backgrounds and our primary areas of interest are cultural production, cultural management and policy, creative work, cultural markets and consumption, gender, museum and memory, popular and digital cultures, and transmedia industries. • As a result of this mix, we have a unique interdisciplinary blend of research events and activities. There is a lively programme of departmental seminars and research
forums which connect to other departments across the Faculty and College, including Film studies, Digital Humanities, the Cultural Institute at King’s and other cultural organisations across London. • Research students have the option to take up Graduate Teaching Assistant roles on our Masters Programmes, and can audit taught modules where required. • They can also access King’s ESRC Doctoral Training Centre research programme and study workshops organised under the London Arts & Humanities Partnership.
