Glass Fusion
Brenda Danbrook will guide you in this creative, hands-on exploration of new processes for integrating wheel thrown forms to create unique, fun, fabulous altered bowls and vessels of containment. Serveral approaches to form, rims, handles, feet and maximizing volume will be explored, along with new ideas in decorating with pattern and surface embellishment. Additionally, techniques and methods of throwing larger vessels with less strain and the introduction of taking objects off the round to create more complex assembled vessels will be explored. A basic understanding of wheel throwing is required. Clay is not included; please bring a cheque or cash to the first class. Pottery will not necessarily be fired, as it is a workshop.
