Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: As a real estate investor my business is about creating generational wealth. I’m determined to educate others on the art of building legacy with Real Estate properties, my courses and systems remove a lot of guess-work that inhabit most investors and I also show individuals how to build strong teams so that there investments are able to withstand the test of time. My signature simple yet proven real estate strategies were created with the noninvestor in mind. They are straight forward, easy to understand and easy to implement. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Take action first. People spend a lot of time in the procrastination stage and over planning and miss the main point of execution. Have a mentor, having the right mentor can make all the difference sometimes, someone who has already been there. Someone that can help you avoid years of trivial mistakes. What is next for you and your brand? Currently working on a online Real Estate Investment trust company that operates along a straightforward and easily understandable business model. This will provide all investors the chance to own valuable real estate, present the opportunity to access dividend-based income and total returns, and help communities like Detroit, Michigan grow, thrive, and revitalize. What is a piece of advice you would like to leave our readers with: Everyone deserves to own a piece of the earth. During this interesting economic time, owning a piece of earth is more valuable than it has ever been, and I want to see our communities and our people come out on top. "Power is the ability to live life on your own terms and to be so grounded in who you are and what you stand for, that you have no choice but to impact the life of others."
Tell is about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: I founded The Woman To Woman Empowerment & Social Network to help women bridge the gap from a midiocre life to an extraordinary life. As a woman I've seen the difference in battling life's challenges alone, versus having the soothing comfort of a support team who understand what we're going through and the challenges we face daily. The network consists of female coaches who specialize in different areas. They are there to educate, empower and coach you to getting what you want, in every area of your life. Whether you are a house wife, single mom or entrepreneur, there's something for every woman. You can create the life the want. Share 2 pieces of advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Success leaves clues. It's okay to learn from others and avoid making the same mistakes they already made. Also there are times you would fail. Remember failure is simply a way to tell you what wouldn't work. Learn from it and move forward. What is next for your business in 2020? I'm excited about my new book entitled Woman To Woman: How To Create The Life You Want, that would be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other platforms from January 1st 2020. The goal is to impact the lives of one thousand women this year.

Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: I am a mortgage broker, real estate investor and business coach. After over 15 years in the mortgage & real estate industry I noticed that the big money was in investing & flipping property. I wanted in so I took classes attended seminars bought books, etc. only to find my self overwhelmed and frustrate with my first few flips. I realized that none of the classes I took, books I read, seminar or webinars talked about the day to day of flipping property. so I decided to share my new knowledge with other women that may want to get into this business. My approach is personal, one on one to make sure that my clients avoid the many mistakes I made when I first started. Tell us about your community efforts and how they've made a positive impact: I've partnered with several Atlanta based organizations that help the less fortunate. We've helped feed and clothe the homeless, we're done fund raisers, stuffed care packages and a number of other initiatives aimed at bettering our communities. In addition to that, I've done volunteer projects at local nursing homes and facilities for individuals with special needs. Helping someone simply to help and with no ulterior motives shows that you care and could help restore their faith in humanity. We aren't all bad. Share 2 pieces of advice for emerging Atlanta professionals: 1. Network. Network. Network. Atlanta is a big city and meeting like minded individuals helps make it feel a little bit smaller. You never know where your next business venture, opportunity or partnership is coming from... it would be from that connection you made at a random networking event. 2. Be a nice person. It costs exactly zero dollars to be nice. Kindness goes very far. What is next for you in 2020? It may just be the optimism, but I still feel like some great things can be accomplished. I'm going to continue writing - maybe this is the year that I muster the courage to share what I write. Who knows? I know one thing for sure though, AD White is far from finished. Tell is about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact. I offer web design services, personal brand consulting and host a podcast. My business is all about elevating the visibility of my clients who have big missions or impactful services. When they are able to rise above the noise and reach their customers, the impact is amazing! Share 2 pieces of advice for emerging entrepreneurs: 1) Find the simplest way to do whatever it is and jump in. When you create complexity it will deter you from being consistent. Your consistency will get you further than anything else. 2) FOCUS - put all of your energy on one thing and work that until the wheels fall off. When you try to focus on too many things, nothing is mastered. What is next for your business in 2020? www.Power20Mag.com Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: The 411 Brand Foundation is a 5013c organization designed to bridge the gap between successful individuals and young people striving for success in the areas of education, athletics and entertainment. The 411 Brand was created in 1992 as a talk show that gave celebrities and successful individuals an opportunity to share their journey with young people in Middle & High School in Atlanta. The purpose was to show young people that success starts with a vision, followed by hard work, faith and support. Most young people only get a chance to see the finished product, they don’t have access to the entire journey. Our program gives young people an inside look at the journey of someone that they admire in an effort to assist them with making critical decisions on their oath to success. We started inside the school system as a tour and then moved into a partnership with Magic Johnson Theaters where we invited over 400 students to each show. This proved to be so successful that we partnered with Sprite for a 10 City Tour across the country. After the tour we met with national television distributors to take the program to television. Due to the television climate (Jerry Springer, Ricky Lake) executives felt that there wasn’t a place in television for a positive youth specific program. We decided to pivot and go back to the community and continue to build the organization inside out. Currently we have a partnership with the City of Atlanta as well as After School programs with Atlanta Public Schools. We currently serve over 600 students a year in the areas of entertainment, education and athletics. We offer the following programs: Sports, Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, Golf, Entertainment, Dance, Film, Music, Drones, Education, Financial Literacy and HIV/ AIDS Prevention.

Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: A. Take a moment to determine your WHY? We all have the ability to do great things but it must be in line with who we are as a person. You must ask yourself are you in the game for money or are you doing it to fill a void that will impact others. This decision will determine your direction. Yes, the goal as a business is to generate money but if that’s your only intention I feel that you could miss your purpose. B. Enjoy the journey to your destination. Life is in the process. Yes, we all want to achieve our ultimate business goals but instead of focusing on the end, learn to live in the moment and embrace the journey. What is next for you and your brand? Next up for the 411 Brand is opening up our own complex that will house all of our programs under one roof. We currently have partnerships with APS After-School Program and COA Teen Academy to provide programming at various locations throughout the City. Now our focus will be to create a consistent culture of young people looking to put in the 10,000 hours needed, to become successful with the guidance and supervision of professional individuals committed to sharing their knowledge with the next generation. The 411 Brand Athletic & Education Complex will be a members only “Country Club Feel” for young people throughout Metro Atlanta. Stay Tuned! Personally, I have a book coming out in 2020 called “Egg Solid....An Introspective View On Success + A Step By Step Guide to Achieving Your Goals.” I’ve been in the business of youth development for close to 30 years. One thing that never changes is a young person’s desire to be successful. But what does change is how to navigate that success in a world that is constantly changing and evolving. This book will give young people a framework to use as a checks & balancing guide to identifying and moving in their true purpose. How can readers support your business + connect with you online? I do this by providing them with the proper resources, information, and support that will empower them to share their stories and write their books.
Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Networking can go a long way. If you are starting out and beginning to build your business, networking with other entrepreneurs may be the stepping stones you need to put you in positions for growth and empowerment. Build your brand. Whatever business endeavors you decide to embark on make sure that you mold it to fit your personality and who you are. Everyone is selling and doing the same thing. The difference is You. People are interested in what you have to say. You are your brand not your product. What is next for you and your brand? My second anthology book was just released, Resilient Women Reclaimed Power which was an absolute humbling project; that took a ton of dedication and self discipline to say the least. I plan to offer the opportunity for other authors and aspiring authors to be apart of several anthology projects in the future. I am also continuing to expand my brand -The Author Strategist- by providing one-on-one strategy sessions for book marketing and author branding. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: My name is Shakeenah and I am the Design/Owner of Revert Apparel. I established my business in December 2017 shortly after I reverted to Islam. In Islam there is a certain way a woman should dress and I found the traditional cultural clothing I saw other women wearing was not my style of dress. So that's when I decided I'm going to create my own brand that represent who I am while respecting my religion. Fast forward to a year later, that's when I decided I wanted to take my original plan and revamp my brand to something greater because I want all women no matter her age, color, or faith to wear "Revert." I have always been a lover/student of fashion since the age of 13, actually it was the first thing I told my teacher I wanted to be. Revert Apparel is designed to show women you can be covered and still be chic. What does Power mean to You? Power to me means to be true to yourself without compromising your self-worth. To be a God fearing woman, wife, mother, boss and financially independent while keeping your feminine qualities. What is next for you and your brand? Next up for my brand, I will be featured in a documentary called "Adorn" about Black-American Muslim Women in the Fashion Industry. Also, 2020 finding/opening a brick and mortar for my business. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: The 2 biggest pieces of advice I have for emerging entrepreneurs are to intimately get to know your target customer/client. Become the customer. Hang out where they hang out, drink what they drink, watch what they watch, and read what they read. Learn their language. Secondly, I would say do the same for your competitors. In this world of ultra competition we must learn how to collaborate with those we compete with. And if I can offer a bonus, learn how to copywrite. :-)

Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: My philanthropic cause, I want to give great attention (which is an extension of my business) this year is Population Of Pretty. During times when exclusive Population Of Pretty merchandise are sold a portion of the funds will benefit Mental Health programs for women. CHRISTOPHER JAMES "Power is the use of one's innate instincts and abilities to affect change for the greater good".
Power is generated from within. It starts with knowing yourself, accepting who you are (good and bad), and sitting in it with confidence. Once you're in tune with you, you can then use that power to make an impact on the outer world. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: There are a lot of people doing a lot of good things in our society. Much of those good works don't reach many people because people simply don't know about it. One of the tenets of my Photography business (Montyangelo Productions) is to help shine a spotlight on people, businesses, organizations, etc. that are working to have a positive impact on the community. I believe that we're living in a time in history where we're the most distracted. There are so many things that consume our attention on a daily basis, making it difficult to actually achieve what we desire. So I also focus on highlighting people that are able to find their focus and actually take action on their goals. I believe that we should do what we want in life; pursue our biggest dreams with passion. There's a power in that. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: 1) Play the long game. Instant gratification seems to be the theme right now. Don't just work for short-term gains. It will take some time for things to get rolling. A plane doesn't just take off in the air from a stationary position. It's a gradual build-up of speed and momentum then it soars into the sky. Work at your own speed and build your momentum. 2) Don't be above doing things for free. Focus on your craft, providing value, and serving others - the money will soon come. When starting out, it's advantageous to provide your services at no cost on occasions. Even when you do things for free, you still get paid. You just get paid on the back-end, and it's not always in the form of money. It helps you get your name and business out there, expanding your reach. You want as many people to know about your business as possible and it gets you entry into someone's network. What is next for you and your brand? Continued growth and more investments into the business. I'll be getting into video a lot more beginning in 2020. It was originally the reason I got my first camera two years ago, so I'm excited to step back into that world. How can readers support your business + connect with you online? "Power is both ability and desire. There must be both to affectuate change".
Our lives are the composite of the eternal momentum NOW. Whenever we do something, it is because we know we have both the ability and desire to get it done. The only thing standing in our way is fear. Whenever we allow ourselves to be taken over by the things that scare us, or make us feel less than, then we diminish or all together lose our power. It is essential that we eclipse the fears in our lives, so that we maintain and grow our power. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: I am a Supreme Performance and Professional Development Coach. I thoroughly enjoy working with people to face and release the fears that diminish their success. Surprisingly, these are already very successful people who use their wins to hide insecurity, self-doubt, and buried anger behind a mask of well-being. I am very well equipped to do this. This used to be me. I am an attorney, CPA, Certified Christian Life Coach, New Thought Practitioner (minister), and have received many accolades and recognitions based on my accomplishments, community and professional organizations. Each time I achieved something new, it was an effort to mask feelings of poor self image and self-distrust. Not until my health made me stop and face what was going on that I was able to embrace and move forward. I used my experience of overcoming stage 4 endometriosis and the subsequent surgeries that led to a full hysterectomy, bowel resection, and high blood pressure to create a system of programming and coaching techniques to help others not only avoid self-implosion, but to embrace total and complete freedom. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: You are a business owner. Forget the "entrepreneur" and "small" part of that. As you set up your business, lay a good foundation and put in the work Ensure that as you grow into a larger organization that you will not have to go back and redo things that you could have and should have done from the beginning. For instance go ahead and get a good accountant and a lawyer. Invest in a good accounting software program. Complete your estate planning. And get insurance on both you and your business, including disability insurance. What is next for you and your brand? My fourth book "Knocked Down, Set Straight: Face It, Speak It, Forgive It, Release It!" is available on my website, as well as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and is also on Audible. ROBINSON "Power is a subjective utilization of influence to gather or create support."
Tell us about your community efforts and how they've made a positive impact: After reading "The Case for Reparations" by Ta-Nehisi Coates & "Color of Law" by Richard Rothstein, I began to travel down a rabbit hole of investigating the injury gap and other residual effects of not so old, racist housing policy and how it continues to shape black existence throughout this nation. That inspired me to create an annual festival with a few friends named A Vibe Called Fresh. The annual festival is based around the idea of introducing introductory tools, resources, and information to encourage viable homeownership while having an amazing time. As the festival continued to grow, so did the demand for more events like it. As a response, I am in the process of developing; The Applesauce Group, a 501-c3 dedicated to facilitating enjoyable empowerment with events throughout the year. Share 2 pieces of advice for emerging Charlotte professionals: a.) If your strides towards success are self-serving and do not help people, then it is not meaningful. "Power means the opportunity to empower and impact people's lives"
It is the ability to create and support platforms that give others access and hope. Power is the responsibility we have, to carve a path for others to follow once we have figured it out. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: When we first started doing taxes ten years ago, we went about it like most people, as a self-employed business where we touched and serviced every client. The problem was we were still trading our time for money, and that meant there was a limit on how many clients we could service. In 2015 we decided to implement a licensing model that allows people to get their start in the tax industry with a complete online business system designed to work from home. We set them up to do business just like the big box stores, without the overhead and expenses of a traditional franchise. It was important for us to remove the upfront cost so that we could remove the biggest barrier keeping people from starting their own business: money. So we found the best way to grow our client base was to empower others to become business owners too. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Pay attention to trends and shifts and don't be afraid to innovate ahead of the curve. If people don't understand what you are doing, you are probably on the right track to innovate and disrupt that space. Secondly, be the leader of your vision and understand that everyone may not see it right away but that's okay, that's why it's YOUR vision. What is next for you and your brand? As we get closer to tax season, we are preparing the more than 1500 store owners across the country for a great season. On the corporate front we are looking to continue to add other offerings to our platform that will make the ONE STOP Taxes opportunity bigger and better for them. And on a personal level, we are always diversifying, so 2020 will bring more deals in real estate, a relationship book, a pilot about our family, success and business, community enrichment initiatives and more. What does "Power" mean to out? Power is "the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way." Your power is knowing your worth and recognizing your unique gift and contributions to this earth. We all have our own power, rather we realize it or not. Sometimes, our untapped potential is waiting to be unleashed.
Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: Black Women Moguls' assists women in increasing their visibility and connections so they can grow their sales and generate income through multiple streams. We want women to live on their own terms, without living paycheck-topaycheck. Before the launch of Black Women Moguls, I conducted a survey asking women why they feel at a disadvantage in terms of revenue and overall success. Their answers revealed that they felt there was a lack of access to training, resources, and capital. I started Black Women Moguls' to bridge the gap and show that opportunity is all around us; we just have to know where to look. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: It is very cliche,' but first, I would have to say, don't give up. I know there are times when you wonder if the sacrifice of time, resources, and finances are worth it. But, trust me, it is! Investing and believing in yourself is vital. I have seen the power of manifestation so many times. When I doubted myself, nothing came true. But, when I realized that I was capable of greater, I saw things and opportunities put in motion. Remember that you are worthy of success and an abundance of wealth. My final piece of advice is to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Often, our opportunity is on the other side of our comfort zone. However, we will not recognize it or know it is there until we take that leap of faith. It's okay to be scared of the unknown but do it anyway. Do it scared! What is next for you and your brand? My close friends and mom know that I always have something planned for myself and Black Women Moguls. And, I could not be more excited for the future! Behind the scenes, I have revamped the Profit Accelerator Academy. I wanted not just to provide business training for women entrepreneurs, but also offer more done-for-you services. Services will now include website design, sales funnels, automation set-up, and templates. I found that while my clients love to learn the steps, they often want services already completed. That way, they can focus on other essential business activities. I will use my expertise to ensure successful marketing campaigns that target their ideal audience. I will also be adding new digital products to The Mogul Shop, along with an apparel and accessories product launch. Another exciting thing is I am in the process of writing my first book. I look forward to reaching more individuals with the knowledge I have learned throughout my years as an entrepreneur. You'll have to stay tuned for the other exciting things coming soon! Stay connected by following us on Instagram @blackwomenmoguls. Each week, I publish a "Mogul Minute" segment that discusses one business tip. In my opinion, the word "Power" means having the ability and strength to not only influence others, but to make decisions and take courses of action that will bring about change in a positive way. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact:
My businesses are multifaceted. I consider myself to be a serial entrepreneur! I am a model, coach, motivational speaker, pharmacist and a financial literacy specialist. I thoroughly enjoy each endeavor and feel they represent different layers of who I am as a woman and individual. I believe my businesses make a positive impact by letting individuals know that it's okay to pursue more than one occupation/goal and you don't have to limit yourself or fit in a one size fits all box. I enjoy encouraging others by living my life unapologetically for me. I believe my example gives others the freedom to pursue their dreams and take a chance on themselves.
Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs:
Two pieces of advice I would give emerging entrepreneurs is to start where you are, with what you have and that it's okay to make mistakes. You will never, ever feel 100% ready and adequately prepared with enough experience or with all of your resources. That's ok, just go ahead and begin. If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get started. As you continue to push forward the necessary steps and tools will align by faith. Mistakes are apart of life. The key thing is to gain wisdom and insight from them so you won't make them again. Don't be afraid to "fail" forward. The best inventions, discoveries, and breakthroughs all came through trial and error. Remember the person who is making mistakes is at least trying.
What is next for you and your brand?
The next steps for my brand is to continue with ongoing exposure through public speaking and modeling. I plan to continue to foster relationships and build partnerships that will help me elevate to my next level. I want to continue growing each one of my unique entities with steady and consistent progress. Readers can support my businesses by sending me referrals for motivational speaking, financial literacy and/or coaching!
