PGMAG: Stephanie, you are welcome to today's interview with Lady Anita.
SG: Hello Lady Anita! I would like to thank you for the invitation and for the opportunity you are giving me to introduce myself to your audience. I’m really glad to be with you and present myself today!
PGMAG: Please introduce yourself to our readers.
SG: I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Limassol in the island of Cyprus, and I am a Certified Professional Coach with specialization in life coaching, relationship coaching and leadership coaching mostly for teenagers and young adults. I am also a theta healing practitioner, writer and entrepreneur. I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance and a master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Warwick in UK. At the moment, concurrently with my life coaching business, I am also working in my family business which operates in the Cypriot HORECA sector.
Despite my business background, since my teenage years I always remember myself being into personal development studying various books, attending seminars, listening to motivational talks and generally doing everything I could in order to find out the real purpose of life, as well as ways by which people could be more happy, optimistic and faithful. Nevertheless, after going through a dark period of depression at the age of 21, I promised myself that I would never allow any teenage kid or young adult to go through what I went through. All kids of that age deserve to live in a world full of happiness, love and light where they could create their own reality and reach for their dreams without depending on the opinions of others. Today, I am on a mission to create this world as I am a co-creator of “New Generation New World”, a group dedicated to people of the younger generation with the purpose to create a better, more faithful and promising world for them and guide them to become the future passionate and driving leaders that our world needs.
PGMAG: As a certified professional coach, what would you suggest for people who are struggling with low self-esteem?
SG:
Therefore, they may end up criticizing us, being very strict with us or even encouraging us to compare ourselves with others. Hence, this may lead us to believe that we are not good enough, we are not smart enough, we are not beautiful enough and in overall that we are NOT enough. A very helpful and practical exercise that I have used in the past and I continue to use both for myself as well as suggesting it to my clients, is to write on the mirror or somewhere they could see many times during the day the words “I am Enough”. This exercise was firstly suggested by Marisa Peer, a world-renowned speaker, therapist and best-selling author and the aim of this is to see these three words regularly and repeat them to themselves while looking directly into their eyes in the mirror. This is very effective especially if they keep repeating it for 30 days and they will notice that their self-worth will expand. It may sound simple, but it is worth a try!
PGMAG: Oftentimes you hear people talk about not getting anywhere with their resolutions. What are some of the keys to achieving success on set goals - Especially in these challenging times?
SG: The very first step before even beginning the process of setting goals is to decide on which areas of your life you want to focus on. The wheel of life acts as a great visual tool that maps out the 8 different areas of your life and by giving a number between 1 – 10 in each one of the 8 areas, choosing between career, finance, personal growth, health, family, relationships, social life and attitude, you actually get a “helicopter view” of your life at the specific moment and therefore it is easier for you to realize which areas you need to improve through appropriate goalsetting.
I would suggest that you choose 2 sectors of your life in order to be able to give them the attention needed. The next step is to take an inspiring notebook and a pen and write down your two goals in SMART format. This means that your chosen goals have to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and TimeSpecific. Some questions that may help you when writing your goals are the following: - What exactly do I want to accomplish? - How can I quantify this goal (i.e. put a number) so that I know when I reach it? - Is this goal within my capabilities or would I need help from someone else? - Why is this goal important for me? - What is the deadline I can set for the accomplishment of this goal? It is useful to have in your mind that in case something changes from the moment you write down the goals until the deadline, you should be ready to modify them if necessary, by taking into account the changes that have occurred. Even though the pandemic has totally changed our way of life, it is important to remember that we are still in the driver’s seat and by setting our goals correctly, we can succeed in driving our life towards the direction that we want.
PGMAG: Please share with us a bit about 'Theta Healing'.
SG: Theta Healing was created in 1995 by Vianna Stibal when she was recovering from cancer. It is a healing method which uses the theta waves of the brain in order to help you relax on a deeper level and be able to access your creative mind and intuition, while establishing a connection with the Creator of all that it is. With the help of Theta Healing, you can achieve to get rid of limiting beliefs, emotional blockages and traumas that may keep you back from living to your full potential. At the same time, it can assist you in becoming aware of your inner state of mind and realizing that absolutely everything that happens in your life has its purpose. By having this in mind, you are able to get answers to questions about your life and the direction of it while manifesting your deepest desires and dreams. I consider Theta Healing as a valuable tool that should be used by everyone.
PGMAG: What is your message for our youth?
SG: My message for the youth is for them to like and love themselves, to have faith in themselves and to believe that they are capable of achieving absolutely anything they set their mind to. In addition, this generation more than any other generation so far needs to believe in the pursuit of their dreams, because it is impossible to happily live without having and keep creating dreams and young people need to understand that no matter how big their dreams are, they can eventually come true if they have the guts to go after them, because “Life holds special magic for those who dare to dream”.
PGMAG: How would you describe your style of leadership?
SG: I am an authentic type of leader as I always choose to lead with my heart. This is because I am a highly empathetic person and I never do something that is against the will of my heart. In some cases, this may be hard and painful, but I know that it is worth it because it guides me to make the more truthful and evolving decisions both for myself as well as for the people I cooperate with. In addition, I am always open to discuss and respect the views of other people, whilst having the courage to admit my mistakes and apologize if needed. I believe that each person is unique in their own beautiful way with their own capabilities, talents and charisma and I want my coaches and the people I cooperate with to know that I am not here to criticize them or tell them what they “should” or not do. On the contrary I am here to hold their hands through this process of development and thrust them to reach their full potential while manifesting their own reality.
PGMAG: Please tell us about your business and the benefits of using your services.
SG: As I have previously said, I mostly specialize on guiding teenagers and young adults through one-to-one personal coaching or theta healing sessions to go through a journey of discovering their true authentic self while learning to accept and love themselves. In this way, they recognize that there are no limits in what they are capable of achieving and that they already have inside them all the answers and the tools needed in order to become the powerful and inspiring leaders that our world needs. This is achieved through the creation of a safe place where they are able to open-up and express themselves freely without fear of judgement.
PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently?
SG: If I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t have done anything differently. I believe that every experience that we go through in our life shapes us in either a positive or negative way, depending on how we choose to act at that specific moment of our life. In my case, even though my life was not paved in rose petals, I’m really grateful for what I have accomplished up to now, to the people who have stood by me and believed in me during my challenging times and I’m proud for the person I have become today, so I would have changed nothing in my life journey so far.
PGMAG: Finally, what would you say to your younger self?
SG: I would say to her to believe and have faith in herself and in her abilities, to have and keep creating dreams because dreams act as the engine that pushes her forward towards reaching her full potential. Finally, I would say to her to take as many risks possible, to fall and stand back on her knees as many times as she can because this is the only way to grow and become the person that she has always imagined. There is also a famous quote regarding this which says, “A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are built for”.
PGMAG: Thank you for your time and we wish you success in your field of purpose.
SG: Thank you too for the invitation and the warm hospitality and I wish you all the best and every success for the new year, always with health, love and light!
