Witness the non-fiction narrative of my Invictus & Redefined Life 2.0, currently, I’m celebrating my 27th year.

Quoting 2 lines from the Invictus Poem written by the poet William Earnest Henley in 1875 from a hospital bed:

“I'M THE MASTER OF MY FATE”, “I'M THE CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL”

This poem’s strong & descriptive language and Extravagant Metaphors help convey the theme which is, “To never lose hope no matter the circumstances, and how you control your fate & decide your future”

Taking a cue from lyrics of Invictus’s poem, I am super excited to share tips for, "Making of Impossible Possible"

“Speech is Civilization itself. The word, even the most contradictory word, preserves contact. It is Silence that isolates - Thomas Mann”

The canvas of colourful life becomes a Pin Drop Silence without spoken words when the vocal communication organ is lost forever, from being Vocal to permanently non-vocal.

Imagine, you are on a date & wish to propose, I LOVE YOU, Will you MARRY me & your voice is lost!

Imagine you are all set on the stage to deliver a TEDx talk in front of an August audience & your words are trapped in your mouth! People stare at you confused!

You are a celebrity actor, or a singer & invited to share your struggles or to sing your popular number & voice evaporating in the air! Audiences looking at you with PITY!

Just think about such a catastrophic condition for a lifetime which is full of frustration, anger, disappointment & sheer helplessness with no light at all at the end of the tunnel. I, encountered the above adversity 26 years ago at the age of 44 when I was at the peak of my career as an international marketer where verbal communication is a key necessity by default in daily life & the only earning member of the family.

I was diagnosed as a stage IV vocal cord cancer victim in 1997 & was given a few days to live if the tumour & vocal cord were not removed.

I chose life over voice as I was the only earning member of the family & lost my natural speaking ability forever. Instead of "WHY ME" gave a tight hug to forever adversity as the Divine Intervention.

I indulged in redefining my life 2.0 by innovating & leveraging this forever adversity into exceptional opportunities with laser laser-focused mindset by placing a hand-held electrolarynx under my chin to speak on my own as there was no speech-language therapist/ trainer available in 1997.

Yes, my voice surely sounds different than normal human voice & when I started talking in public for the 1st time, my voice was rejected.

But giving up is NEVER IN MY DNA.

I continued speaking relentlessly with die-hard courage, without hesitation in public by making sure, I am audible.

I was invited to counsel a vocal cord cancer patient in 2011 & with my years of experience as a marketing & branding businessman, I could demonstrate, “a Thrilling Life even after Cancer & loss of my natural voice” & he underwent surgery. One precious life was saved.

This incident has given sparkling birth to my altogether novel skill as a counsellor & since then, I never looked back & I am incredibly lucky to counsel countless individuals offline & online.

A few years later, in the jampacked auditorium, suddenly my name was announced to share my journey & I talked my heart out flawlessly with my differently enabled voice which is my forever unique identity & USP.

Honestly speaking, I’m grateful to all those individuals rejecting for my voice back in December 1997 which made me think 360 degrees out of box to become an unstoppable speaker. And, these given me Turbine power as a LION ROAR to become an unstoppable audience-engaging global speaker, non-fiction Storyteller, Life Artesian cum performance coach & thought leader.

It won’t be out of place to mention the following, while I’m celebrating the 27th year of my Invictus & redefined life from a vocal cord cancer victim to Cancer Winner Shrenik, leading a fascinating life with no complaints:
