My philosophy of art is that it should not be esoteric but that it should serve the purpose of enriching
and enlightening people's conception of the world in which they live. Art must not be divorced from reality.

Brendan Neiland was keeper of The Royal Academy Schools for two years and is one of Britain’s foremost contemporary painters and printmakers. He is represented in major museums, galleries and collections around the world. In Britain these include the Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate Gallery London, the British Council and the Arts Council of Great Britain. He has created some of the most memorable images of modern metropolitan existence. His work has been commissioned by leading commercial companies, public service institutions and education establishments and has been the subject of several television documentaries and video programmes. These scarce landscape images are an interesting departure from his usual architectural subject matter although they still incorporate his preoccupation with surface, light and reflection. Neiland’s sense of the poetics of light and pictorial structure can be related to the work of Braque or Magritte, Corot or Vermeer. Neiland prints usually sell for between £750 and £1000. We are delighted however, to be able to offer these intriguing screenprints for £475 each, including frame, vat and uk delivery.
