It’s Mardi Gras Time! “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” or “Let the Good Times Roll!” with Zydeco-a-Go-Go, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier Zydeco band. Creole Zydeco and Cajun two-steps combine with funky New Orleans rhythm and blues and vintage Louisiana rock ‘n’ roll into a spicy gumbo of irresistible dance music. Though based in Philadelphia, this group has garnered praise for its authentic Louisiana sound. Plan to attend this one-of-a-kind party. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 2, 2 P.M. Glenn Miller returns to entertain us with his music and comedy. As a vocalist, his ability to sing harmony live with himself is unique. The sound is equivalent to a 14-piece band! All styles of music are featured, from big band to jazz, rock, country, Hawaiian, Italian, German, Polka and more. Glenn plays a custom accordion with high tech sounds, trumpet, pocket trumpet, trombone and various harmonicas, and he sings!

Olga Vinokur is an acclaimed pianist and a dynamic performer on the classical and contemporary music scene. An avid chamber musician, she has performed with the distinguished St. Petersburg, Martinu, Nightingale, Aeolus and Primo quartets, among others. This annual Masonic celebration features music by the band Nite Flyte. All residents are welcome to come and meet Right Worshipful Grand Master Jeffrey M. Wonderling, as well as the Grand Lodge officers, for dessert and live entertainment. The versatile band Nite Flyte has 20 years of experience providing their versions of music standards that cover multiple decades and include favorites from country, classic rock, Top 40, Motown and oldies, and hits by Elvis, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, the Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and more.

Monday Lecture Series: The Everyday Guide to Wine - Part 1
Present day languages developed from older languages through the effects of migration, commerce and sharing art and literature. This series of lectures discusses the origins and evolution of languages that developed in various parts of the world. Part 2 of this series describes languages of the Caucuses, various regions of India and of the nations along the Silk Road. Also, we will hear about the languages of Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, the South Sea Islands and Siberia and various Creole languages. This is your chance to learn about, or refresh your knowledge of, one of the oldest of humankind’s beverages. The earliest written history of wine and winemaking trace back to Egyptian culture in 2500 B.C.E., and there is evidence people were making wine thousands of years before that. This series of lectures will cover tasting, winemaking and a survey of well-known varieties of grapes used to make wine. Part 1 will also include a descriptive tour of French winemaking regions. Other winemaking regions will be covered in Part 2 of this series in the spring. Join us for a series of DVD lectures, followed by a group discussion. The facilitator is resident Bill Decker. Helen (Ellen Burstyn) is forced to move into a nearby retirement community when her home undergoes repairs. She encounters lusty widows, cutthroat bridge tournaments and the older version of the “mean girls.” Yearning for the isolation of her own home, she seeks solace in flower arranging and water aerobics, later realizing that it’s never too late to make new friends and find a new romance. Starring Jane Curtin, Ann-Margaret and James Caan, this movie is rated-PG-13, with a run time of one hour and 40 minutes.
Physical Therapy Lecture Series: Aquatic Rehab TUESDAY, FEB. 8, 10:30 A.M. GLH Solarium
The Masonic Village Physical Therapy Department will discuss the benefits of aquatic rehab. Aquatic therapy reduces the amount of gravity on a person, allowing them to move more with less pain and pressure on their joints and muscles. This presentation will be repeated on Monday, Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m., in the Keystone Room.

Massage therapy and wellness workshops on mind, body and spirit are also offered. This museum sits on a hill behind the soon-to-be demolished State Police Academy building. The academy was built in 1960 and is in much need of renovation, so this is the last year people will be able to see it. Your guided tour will begin where the museum and the chapel reside. Please note, there are no stairs on either the museum tour or academy tour. Upon finishing the academy tour, we will return to the museum where you can see the exhibits wrapping up the organization’s history and cadet knowledge before moving on to some of the great stories of State Police service, including the State Police’s very own rodeo. The tour is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
