Masonic Village Hospice Volunteer Orientation

You can make a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers visit patients, provide office support, aid with activities and events, play music for patients, help patients record their memories or bring in their pets for patients to enjoy.

The Olewine Nature Center in Harrisburg is one of the leading interpretive centers in the area and is an excellent resource for those interested in nature. While at the park, a tour guide will escort you down Discovery Path. This is a ¼ mile walk on a paved walkway. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

New Holland Concert in the Park Presents Charlie Zahm

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

Return: 10 p.m.

Charlie is an American singer of Celtic, maritime and traditional American music. This outdoor concert is scheduled from 7 – 9 p.m. If inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Garden Spot Chapel. Food trucks are available at the park.

Located in Strasburg, you may select the orange course which is 18 holes (cost is $7.75) or the gold course which is 23 holes (cost is $10.75). There are a few steps on both. The gold course has some rough terrain. Lunch may be purchased at the Snack Shoppe. You may pay at Village Greens.

For the third time in its 45-year history, Eurobrass, an ensemble from Germany and the United States, will be touring in the U.S. this summer. One of their stops is right here in York! This 12-member international brass ensemble has been performing for God’s glory since 1978, delighting listeners with their top-class brass music and vibrant faith. This concert is at the York Alliance Church and is scheduled from 7:30 – 9 p.m. Admission is free; however, there will be an opportunity at the concert to donate directly to the ministry of Eurobrass.

Step-on Guided Bus Tour of the Amish Countryside

Wander through the Amish countryside on a picturesque bus tour. We will be making a stop at an Amish farm along the way for you to purchase soft pretzels and ice cream. Please note, if purchasing food, cash is preferred. Enjoy this one-hour tour while staying on our Masonic Village bus. The tour is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The Steelworkers are the fastest growing Polka band in the nation. They provide a variety of music, including Polish, German, Slovak, Slovenian and everything in between. Put on your dancing shoes and come out for a great evening of fun! This outdoor concert is scheduled from 7 – 9 p.m. If inclement weather, it will be held in the Garden Spot Chapel. Food trucks are available at the park.

Carolyn (soprano) has put together a unique concert, which includes Jessica Sheetz on piano, Catie McClain and Alexis Sheetz on flute, Ben McClain on clarinet and Timothy Sheetz on violin. This concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Highland Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. A freewill offering will take place at intermission.

Tour of the Lititz Moravian Museum and Archives

$5 donation at the museum

This tour includes many rare historical items that range from one of the earliest colonial era fire engines to the first American-made viola. There is no cost for the tour; however, a $5 donation would be appreciated at the museum. Some walking is involved, and there are five steps that lead into the church.
