Baird Wellness Center 33783

Located in the Freemasons Cultural Center, the Baird Wellness Center offers an array of cardiovascular and strength equipment, functional training, personal training and group fitness classes. Massage therapy and wellness workshops on mind, body and spirit are also offered.

Open daily, from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Staff are available Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Group exercise classes are broadcasted on MVTV Monday through Friday in the morning.

SilverSneakers® Classic

TUES. & THURS., 9 – 9:45 A.M. Brossman Ballroom, Salon I (Check with your insurance for coverage.)

This class is designed to improve agility, balance, coordination and functional capabilities. NonSilverSneakers® members pay $3.50 per class (punch card available for purchase). Please pay and purchase punch card at the Baird Wellness Center.

TUES. & THURS., 10:15 – 11 A.M. Baird Wellness Center Punch card available

This is an ongoing class. Tuesdays will focus on strength and mobility and consist of using multiple pieces of equipment for strength and functional movement. Thursdays will focus on cardio and flexibility and consists of raising your heart rate and stretching to enhance flexibility. For questions and punch card, call 717-361-5699.

Hatha Yoga

MON., 3:30 P.M. & WED., 10:15 A.M. Lodge Meeting Room Punch card available

We will be on our wrists, arms and knees for certain postures. We will also focus on single leg postures. If you are not comfortable with any of the above, be prepared to modify based on the suggestions the instructor provides. For questions and punch card, call 717-361-5699.

Flohr Pool Open Pool Time

MONDAY – FRIDAY, 1 – 4 P.M. Flohr Pool

Pool water is heated to 90 degrees for comfort and includes a 6-foot deep well. Spa is heated to 100 degrees. You must show an MVP card for entry to pool and swipe in with key tag issued by the Baird Wellness Center. Call ext. 33783 for more information.

Patton Pool Open Swim/Lap Swim

MONDAY – FRIDAY, NOON – 6 P.M. Patton Pool

Four lanes are open for lap swim, and two lanes are open for free swim. You must show an MVP card for entry to pool and swipe in with key tag issued by the Baird Wellness Center. Call ext. 33783 for more information.

Brossman Outdoor Pool

SATURDAY, MAY 28 – AUG. 28 NOON – 6 P.M. Brossman Outdoor Pool

The summer kicks off with the opening of the Brossman Pool! Must show MVP card for entry to pool.

2022 BROSSMAN OUTDOOR POOL

HOW TO ACQUIRE A COMPLIMENTARY SEASON PASS (FOR RESIDENTS):

1. Go to Brossman Outdoor Pool between May 28 – Sept. 5, 2022.

2. Show your MVP card to the lifeguard.

3. Complete season pass application.

4. Lifeguard will issue your season passes.

SEASON PASSES WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.

Residents are permitted to take visitor(s) to the Brossman Pool. The resident will be required to show their MVP card to the lifeguard and sign in each visitor individually. All visitors must be accompanied by a resident while at the pool.

OPERATING TIMES

MAY 28 – AUG. 28, NOON – 6 P.M. AUG. 29 – SEPT. 1, 4 – 6 P.M. SEPT. 2 – 5, NOON – 6 P.M. Labor Day, Sept. 5, is the last day of pool operation. (The pool will be closed from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on June 11; it will reopen at 2 p.m.)

RULES

1. There will be a $5 charge to replace a pass if lost or destroyed. 2. Passes must be shown and barcode scanned upon each entry to the pool. 3. Swimsuits appropriate for a family facility are required. 4. All other posted rules must be followed. 5. LIFEGUARDS HAVE AUTHORITY AT ALL TIMES.
