Praise Less; Encourage More PARCR Meeting FRIDAY, OCT. 8, 2 – 4 P.M. AND TUESDAY, OCT. 12, 10 – 11 A.M. Keystone Room
Like apples and oranges, praise is praise and encouragement is encouragement. They are not synonyms. Praising is not a way to encourage. Praise is used to express a favorable judgement, approval or evaluation. Yet most people do not like to be evaluated. Normally, praise is delivered after a deemed-worthy product or event has occurred. Encouragement is used to fortify, energize, buoy, inspire, boost or impart resolution. Normally, it is delivered as part of the ongoing process to reach a goal. Only a select few people can receive praise, yet everyone can and should receive encouragement. Join Dr. Robert Tauber, resident, as he discusses how to change your views about praise. This is a two-part class. Call ext. 14509 to register.

What does it say when choices later evolve into more familyoriented vehicles, from 4-door sedans to vans to RVs? Travel with resident Dr. Robert Tauber as he goes over his 50-year engagement with vehicles.
