WELCOME

Hello... …and welcome to issue 67 of Australian Simply Cards. As always, this month’s issue is jam packed with inspirational projects, new techniques and loads of ideas to keep you crafting all month. Of course, we have a fantastic free gift for you as well, and if you head over to page 12, we have some ideas to get you started using your free Prima paper stack and stamp set. We love to keep up with the new colour trends here at Australian Simply Cards and this month, we feature one of the hottest colour combinations of the season – freesia, grey and white. Head over to page 16 where Debbie Pamment creates some stunning cards using this pretty palette. We always enjoy experimenting with a new product and this month we explore Vertigo Film. Turn to page 24 where Linda Lucas creates some lovely cards using this exciting new product. It’s always fun to make cards for family, but it’s important to remember that friends are a big part of our lives too, so on page 33, Kathy Jones celebrates friendship with some pretty cards using the latest products from JustRite Stampers. No matter who you’re creating for, die-cutting will probably play a part in your design. It’s a popular technique and this month, we share some inspiring ways to use dies with our masterclass on page 43. If you’re looking for an alternative to the norm, then 3D cards are a great idea. In this issue, Sue Smyth shares her ideas for pyramid cards over on page 52. We’ve also got fresh inspiration for using embossing folders. We all have embossing folders hiding in our crafty stash, and they’re a great way for adding texture and interest to card backgrounds. But there are other things you can do with them. Turn to page 62 to find out more. We have all your feminine makes covered this month with pretty floral designs over on page 70, then if you need a card in a hurry, check out the quick-make designs over on page 77. Of course, these are just the highlights of what we have for you this issue and we have lots more including all the latest news and the usual tips and tricks. And if you can’t wait for next issue, take a sneaky peek at our digital preview of issue 68 by visiting www.ppjump.com/asc68preview So until next month… Happy crafting!
