Share your stamping stories – we love to hear what you’ve been up to

Animal magic

Off the page I feel I must write to thank you for another great issue of Creative Stamping. I love to learn new stamping techniques and I particularly enjoyed the ‘Pots of joy’ and ‘Home décor’ features in issue 8. It showed that stamps are not just for cardmaking and scrapbooking, and all kinds of objects can be embellished with stamps. I am going to try my hand at decorating some terracotta pots next. Carol Mann, Warwickshire CS: We’re glad you liked our projects, Carol. We all love using stamping techniques in our cardmaking of course, but taking our ideas a step further and stamping onto objects such as plant pots is a fabulous way to develop new skills and create beautiful gifts for family and friends too.

Thank you so much for the free stamps that came with issue 8 of Creative Stamping. They arrived just at the right time as a neighbour had asked me to make a birthday card for his wife with a picture of a cat, and I also needed a get well card, for which I used the bear stamp. I thought you may like to see my creations. I enjoy all of the magazine, especially the free

stamps – it’s really good value. Nan, by email CS: What lovely cards, Nan. That cute little bear is the ideal choice for a get well card, and I’m sure your neighbour’s wife was

thrilled with her birthday greetings. Thank you for sending us a photo of the cards you made, we love to see what our readers create with the free stamps.

Branching out I look forward to Creative Stamping each month and I am always inspired by how your designers make use of the free stamps – their ideas never fail to encourage me to get my craft stash out! I am relatively new to cardmaking, and stamping is my passion, but I intend to try lots of other techniques such as digital crafting and die-cutting in the future. Wish me luck! Jenny Webb, Norfolk CS: It’s nice to hear that you are so inspired by our designers Jenny. There is a whole host of crafting techniques out there for you to dabble in, many you will have heard of and some that you won’t have considered trying. Look out for our sister title, Crafter’s Inspiration, on sale now. It’s a fabulous all-in-one craft magazine covering a wealth of easy-to-follow techniques including die-cutting, colouring, beading and the increasingly popular digital crafting. It’s brimming with inspirational designs and

includes a CD-ROM, paper pack, cardstock, bracelet kit, stamp set and embossing folder. What more could you ask for?

GET IN TOUCH: We love to hear your stamping stories and see your wonderful stamped creations so please drop us a line. You can email creativestamping@practicalpublishing.co.uk or write to Creative Stamping Letters, Practical Publishing, Suite G2 St Christopher House, 217 Wellington Road South, Stockport SK2 6NG.
