WE WELCOME YOU TO THE 8TH ANNUAL ELITE GENETICS BULL SALE This is our 8th Annual event and I want to start by saying Thank You! Thank You to our buyers, bidders, supporters, family and friends that have made this sale what it is today! We have put together a very consistent group of breeding bulls who are backed by top end genetics, strong maternal influences and an easy doing no nonsense approach. They are not pushed to exhibit fat but developed in a way that promotes muscle development and longevity. Our bulls know how to thrive in harsh conditions. I remember writing last year’s welcome talking about favorable weather, plentiful moisture, good markets and an abundance of feed. Boy, can things ever change in a year. 2021 brought us extreme heat, very dry conditions and a feed supply that was way below normal making it a year to think outside the box. Last summer and fall showed us just how hardy, resilient and tough a cow herd can be. These factors are bred into these bulls! The Elite Genetics Sale group pride their operations on being progressive breeders. We have made management decisions and breeding selections that are proving to increase productivity, quality, consistency and profit in our product that will pass onto you in your product. The depth and quality in this year’s offering is second to none and offers a diverse group of breeding tools. Hereford, Angus and Charolais genetics make up this year’s sale, three breeds that complement any cross breeding program! We are excited to have Rideau Angus Farm and Butler Valley Livestock with us again this year adding some new progressive genetics. McCaw Livestock again have also brought some exceptional Charolais power bulls. With over 35 yearlings presented in this group of bulls, they offer up a great set of breeding tools for both commercial and purebred breeders. Whether you need to add performance and carcass to your backgrounding and feeder operations or add maternal power to develop replacements, this group of bulls will do it. Our calving ease bulls are designed to maintain growth and performance which will make calving time easier for you but also put money in your pocket come fall. Many Elite Genetics customers are repeat and multiple buyers. This tells us that it’s not just a bull business but also a people business. Our customers are pleased with the product but more importantly happy with an honest, reputable and knowledgeable service. The continued support from our customers is what is keeping us in a business that we love. Elite Genetics takes pride in this detail. As always, all the sale information will be online, including videos and pictures. Online bidding will also be available through Liveauctions.tv. Feel free to contact any Elite Genetics member for more assistance. Please join us for lunch and hospitalities on sale day! You may also stop in and see the sale lots anytime prior to sale day at your convenience. See you sale day, Andrew Kopeechuk

RSK 845C Journey 5J has impressed us right from the start. If you need to add some power, presence and performance to your calf crop then I would say to look no further. Big bodied, tonnes of volume and rib shaped combined with great muscle and shape Journey has what it takes to add pounds to his progeny. He is big footed and great structured as well. His Leader dam knocked it out of the park on this calf and will be a rising star for years to come. Adding Warrior to her genetic package brought so much more to the table by adding performance, carcass and increasing an already abundant maternal powerhouse! 2021 gave us the chance to get back out on the show road. We started with a group of junior heifers for Bonanza that ended up heading west a couple months early due to the drought. Tinley and Lyla Harvie along with Parker Springford had an amazing run with their RSK heifers being named Champion and Res. Champion Heifer lottery Female at Bonanaza. Lucas and Alayna Bieganski exhibited a Digby daughter that was purchased out of the EGOS throughout Manitoba this summer and fall having success in both virtual shows and at Ag Ex. We where very fortunate to be able to get back to exhibiting cattle at AG EX, bringing home the 2021 Premier Exhibitor and Breeder banners. CWA was one for the record books with having three divisions winners and all the string being in the top 3 in their class. The icing on the cake was breeding the Reserve Champion female, RSK 695D Miss Sage 26H! RSK Farms is a family-run mixed farm which began operation in 1984. The cow calf facilities are located approximately 7 miles east of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada along the Trans-Canada Highway. Bulls and females are developed 5 miles north of Douglas, MB at a second farm site. Sale and show cattle along with our donors are kept there as well. RSK Farms breeds approximately 180 females which consist of Purebred Polled Hereford and Commercial Cross cattle. The land base consists of roughly 3 ½ sections of both owned and rented land which is into annual crop, rotated perennial and annual pasture, for forage production and grain and hay sales. RSK Farms uses AI and ET breeding strategies to source some of the breed’s top genetics and in turn use our top producing females to create quality offspring that display improved consistency, performance maternal traits and carcass. Our herd are true beef cows, developed over generations of sound breeding, elite genetics and balanced traits. Our cow herd grazes as much as possible and are only brought into the yards for calving. Once in they are feed a silage, hay, straw mixture. Replacement females are fed the same but supplemented with oats and a Cargill pellet. All of the sale bulls have free choice hay and are fed the same oats pellet mixture in a big area that provides plenty of exercise, which in turn promotes muscle development over fat. Most of the bulls have been tested for the Homo/Hetero Polled gene as well as all of the defects. If not stated in the catalog the results are still pending. Spring and fall vaccinations consist of: Pyramid 5 plus Presponse as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by IBR, BVD Types 1&2, PI3 and BRSV, and as an aid in reduction of severity of pneumonic pasteurellosis caused by Mannheimia haemolytica. Covexin 8 Plus to protect against diseases caused by Cl. chauvoei (black leg), Cl. haemolyticum (bacillary hemoglobinuria), Cl. novyi Type B (black disease or infectious necrotic hepatitis), Cl. perfringens Type B (lamb dysentery), Type C (hemorrhagic enterotoxemia), Type D (pulpy kidney), Cl. septicum (malignant edema) and Cl. tetani (tetanus). Pour on Ivermectin products are administered as well. Also Maxi Guard is given in the spring, before heading to pasture that controls Moraxella bovis bacterin for the prevention and control of pinkeye. At the time of fall booster shots, Quiet Weans (yellow nose clips) are inserted into the calves noses to prevent nursing and are left in for 5 days. This proves to be very effective for a low stress weaning solution. Strict emphasis is put on structural soundness, testicular development, do ability, performance, functionality and disposition! Genetics from RSK Farms have been consigned to many sales over the past years and can be found throughout North America and the Globe. RSK Farms has had great success over the years showing and exhibiting cattle across the country. Showing cattle gives us another tool to gauge and evaluate how our herd is performing, and along with customer successes, we take pride in our track record. pion Female RSK Farms is proud to host the Elite Genetics Bull Sale in March as well as host the Elite Genetics Online Production Sale which features our best females in October. Both sales are at the RSK sale facility north of Douglas, MB.-

RSK SCK 20C Jock 112J is one of our youngest bulls in the offering and he might even be the most moderate in stature as well. But when you look at how he is put together it is very hard to find a hole. I love the hip and flank that Jock has, he is carrying as much bottom third mass as any in the sale. He is boldly sprung over his top and rib as well. He has the amazing structure and hair coat that his sire Digby displays. Jock’s sire was a North American Champion and CWA Champion and his dam was a CJHA Division Champion and AG EX Champion, and dam of last year’s $39,500 high seller RSK SCK 7615 Double Down 30H! We have been buying Hereford bulls f r o m R S K f o r a f e w y e a r s n o w, t o u s e on our Black Angus cows. The quality Hereford genetics they provided us has improved our cow herd; adding bone, depth and capacity without adding frame size. The replacements have performed consistently well and we look forward to having them in our herd for a long time. Never have we ever produced such a “powerhouse” bull as 64J! Almost an April born, this guy has mass from every angle. We think 64J is a special one, so special that he was named after my Grandfather “James Patrick Peaker” who started the Rideau Angus herd in 1955. He is jammed packed with red meat and puts it all together in a very sound and eye appealing package. On the pedigree side of things he comes off of our top producing cow line the “Ever Entense’s”. 64J’s maternal sister is the dam of Rideau Ever Entense 73J who was successfully campaigned in the show ring and sold last fall in the Keystone Konnection sale for $12,000 to Haroldsons Polled Herefords & Steven Knuston. His Resource sire needs no introduction as he is in a league of his own for siring offspring with body dimension, fleshing ease, muscle thickness and breed character. He consistently sires high quality functional phenotype and unprecedented productivity. This guy was bred for greatness, come see him for yourself, he’s worth the drive to Douglas!

RIDEAU ANGUS FARM
We are pleased to be back with an even larger Angus offering in this years bull sale. If the last 365 days have taught me anything it is that our cows we moved from Ontario to Manitoba are resilient and can adapt and produce in any climate thrown at them. From the extreme cold that these calves were born into, the blistering drought they endured all summer right back into an extremely cold winter they have thrived and been developed for the progressive cattleman in mind. We couldn’t be more proud to offer you what we feel is genetically a very strong and competitive group of bulls on offer this year backed by industry leading sires and proven dams. Although our cow herd numbers may not be large we very carefully breed for the quality to be high. Our lead off Angus bull this year is what we feel is the best we have ever raised and we invite you to take a look at our entire offering at your convenience. The coffee is always on and feel free to stop by anytime prior to sale day to appraise the bulls. -

FLUSH MATE BROTHERS
These two flush brothers were designed with calving ease and performance in mind. Their sire TEX Playbook is continually breeding calves with lots of base and muscle expression who are breed leaders for weaning weight, docility and milk traits. Their dam has been a cornerstone foundation cow for our program with many daughters retained and in production. If you are looking for a calving ease bull to add to your program take a look at these guys, both are extremely sound from the ground up with adequate capacity and thickness, super smooth shouldered and are designed perfectly to use on heifers.

Her bulls continuously topped the BIO Bull test station year after year for my grandfather and she had the type and quality of udder you wish your entire herd had with immense longevity living until the age of 14. 79J has that super long eye appealing design to him that makes you stop and want to analyze him. Hello everyone and welcome back to the Elite Genetics Bull sale. I won’t discuss too much of the past year, as we all know it was a struggle. We did everything we could to keep our heads above water in this industry we love. To our fellow cattlemen and women, good on you for being strong and creative in finding ways to make it through another challenging year. The industry is about to have a breakthrough in the next 12 months and we will be paid for our hard work. The cow numbers are extremely low and beef will become a luxury. The cattle industry will not be able to reproduce it’s numbers as quickly as others. To those that have stuck with it, cheers! Our bulls are fed with longevity in mind. The bulls are on a hay and prepared ration of 1/3 oats, 1/3 corn & 1/3 barley. They are vaccinated with Bovishield Gold. I want your investment in our genetics to last. I want them to work for you and increase your profitability. For further information about the program or the bulls please call or text 1 306 471 0093. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you at the bull sale. -

Last year I received a phone call from Wacey about a Red Angus bull he had that would work really well for our commercial cow calf operation Pictures and videos were sent and my brother Cole and I took a real liking to him. We are true believers in seeing our bulls in person before we purchase but with both of us working off the farm and a cold snap during calving, we were unable to make it to see him in person We knew we could trust Wacey and that he would be everything he said he would be. Growing up with Wacey in 4-H we know how important quality genetics and longevity mean to him. We quickly saw that Wacey has a true eye for cattle. When Lot 33 from last year’s sale was delivered in the spring he was everything Wacey said he was and more. This is the second bull we’ve purchased from Wacey and we look forward to his programs future, because he know it will be great. If you’re looking for a bull to fit your program put your full trust in Wacey. He stands behind his program and knows what he is doing and at the end of th day want what is best for your. He is your man

We purchased Pitboss from RSK last spring. The bull came to us in perfect breeding condition and worked really hard naturally breeding a bunch of straight Angus 3 year old cows for us. We had a pile of confidence in the bull and also ai’ed him to 30 Angus heifers. He has calved with absolute ease and we haven’t had to assist one. The calves have grow and a pile of vigour and have all been stamped with the baldie face that demands market premiums. The bull looked great following a busy summer of work and our conception rates were great. Andrew was fantastic to work with and we couldn’t be more pleased with our purchase.

From Andrew: I think the following story from Laura is a testimony of our love of cattle and how we all got to where we are today! Laura: “My dad was really good friends with George Webster. George saw that we bought Pitboss, and looked way back in his pedigree and found dad’s old donor cow “HCC Blanche 16T” in his pedigree.16T was the dam of one of dads big time show bull “Game Plan”.George called to tell my dad that, I thought that was so cool!
