Architectural Internship ATELIER ARCAU | Fraud and Veyron Associes, Vannes, France January 2017- June 2017 (26 weeks) Based in Vannes, Brittany, led by partners Xavier Fraud and Julien Veyron it one of the largest architectural firms in the western part of France. ARCAU stands for Agence-Recherche-Contemporaine-Architecture-Urbanisme (Agency-Research-Contemporary-Architecture-Urban Planning. Urban planning, architecture, and landscape are the three inseparable interrelated disciplines for the company. During the training period, I got the opportunity to work on projects of various scales and types ranging from urban development projects to interior and exterior spaces and their details. I mostly worked on housing and urban development projects in various phases. Some were at design conception stage and others at later stages of design and revisions. This opportunity has given me the experience of Architectural practice and exposure to a diverse range of projects which will help me through my career.

URBAN NEIGHBORHOOD VALLET, FRANCE
Vallet is a commune Loire-Atlantique department in Pays de La Loire lying in the Southeast of Nantes. The project is an urban neighborhood project comprising of plotted development, housing project and development of the urban front. The land was acquired by the municipal corporation in 1990 for the urban development. The development of the project is planned in several stages and the flexibility of the program allows several parties to work together (urbanism department, public and private developers) Role : • Making the physical model and corresponding changes in the drawings. RESIDENCE EXTENTION PLESCOP, FRANCE
The project is the extension and renovation of the existing residence of Xavier Fraud, the president, and partner of the firm. The design is an extension of the house and also change in the interior plan of the house. Since the existing building is an old building, the extension is aimed to be in a modern contemporary style contrasting from the present context there is also a possibility of adding a swimming pool in the extension. A number of proposals were made before finalizing one for further development of the design. Role : • • • •
The preparation of the revit model of the residence from the old drawings. Preparation of the concept proposals of the extension unit mass. Changes in the plan of the existing house. Area calculations.

SARZEAU (Rue du Gén de Gaulle), FRANCE Housing project comprising of 3 Buildings; A, B and C. Design of A is finalized and construction drawings are being prepared while B and c are still in design stage. HOUSING
SARZEAU (Impasse de la Grée), FRANCE Sarzeau is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. It is located on the Rhuys peninsula between the Gulf of Morbihan and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a housing project which was awarded to a competition entry. There is a collective housing building and 3 individual maisons with aa central open space. Role : • During the design stage, all the changes and revisions in the design. • Preparation of the SDV and revisions as per the client. • Renders and other drawings reqired for the tender document.

OFFICE BUILDING MODIFICATIONS
VANNES (Rue Anita Conti Laroiseau), FRANCE The office building is planning to rent away the lower floor to OODRIVE, a cloud storage company. The project is expected to complete by September 2017, therefore modifications on the upper floor plan have to be done to rearrange the workspace. This project is about rearranging the workspace and make the necessary changes in the plan. Role : • Designing and necessary modifications in the plan. • 3D Visualization on Sketchup of the design. • Presentation for the office staff and client.
