Riverfront Recreation Center | 2010

Trishuli River, Nepal

Trishuli River, one of the famous tourist (domestic and international) attractive place in Nepal. This place is famous for rafting and its natural beauty of Hills, Himalayas and Trishuli River. The notion of this project is to design a recreation center for the tourists, serving the neighbouring settlement. The facilities provided in the Center will serve in employing the neighbouring settlers.

Buildings

The notion of my design is to offer varying experiences within the site with the change in choreography in different form of sunken riverwalk. The abandoned operation building is retained as an attraction, and a tree grid, referenced from the city grid, is planted. The geometry can order any development that subsequently occurs on the site.

The Cut | 2012

Birmingham, AL

18

“The Cut” is coined due to its nature of linear cut through the ground. The Concept of my proposal is to design a Projected Trail connecting Sloss furnace in the east and Railroad park in the west of the site. The projected trail is allowed to interact with the vehicular road that connects the site and the ground plane of “The Cut”. At the same time, people can experience the Industrial history of the city of Birmingham through the quality of material used in the trail and making legible the “Industrial Labyrinth” in the heart of Birmingham. Ecologically, the site is allowed to grow on its own with seasonal changes that enhance the experience of the linear space.

High Performance City | 2012

Auburn, AL

24

My design is focused on improving Opelika- Auburn Rapid Bus Transit to make Auburn a High Performance City. Along with this, identifying the potential parking lots which could be developed as Pocket Park (PP) to reduce carbon footprint the the city. I tried to propose in detail, taking one of the parking lot at the heart of Auburn downtown as Pocket Park:01 (PP_01). The concept of educating people through landscape intervention in this pocket park(PP_01) is by creating a green landscape over grey landscape. The stormwater management through bioswale assessment in the pocket park would be helpful for sidewalk vegetation and filtration of stormwater before entering into nearby creeks.

Making Land-grant Institute Legible| Auburn University,Auburn Auburn University being a land grant institute, my proposal is to open up the possibility of future Research inside the campus. The notion of my design is to integrate the activities of Research and Productive landscape on Campus to provide the essence of Land-grant institute, which makes this Campus unique.

Measured Drawings | 2011

Department of Archeology, Nepal Measured Drawing is one of the important method to keep a record and preserving the historical architectural data. This took me almost two months to photograph, measure and draft in Auto-CAD, a detail architectural history of Hanuman Dhoka, Nepal. During this phase, while studying the historical elements, I learned the history being engraved in the intricately carved architectural elements.

36

Sketches | 2011 Travelling and sketching has always been my passion. With some random sketches, I can always imagine various kinds of spaces that exist in the world which makes landscape legible for all living habitat and which distinguish from one another. These sketches help me to understand the choreography of people in spaces and their relationship with one another.

MLA- Brochure Design | 2012

Auburn University, Auburn, AL

Among many opportunities as a Graduate Research Assistant, one of the opportunity I had was designing cover page and editing Master in Landscape Architecture (MLA) Brochure for our program at Auburn University. Here are some of the Test samples and the final design of MLA- cover and back page that was approved and printed to distribute to new graduate students for the program. Conceptualizing and Installation of Rainwater Cistern at Dudley Hall

Auburn University, Auburn, AL

Site for Rooftop Rainwater Collection and Rain Garden

42

It is an Installation project of Rainwater Harvesting that came up through a Conceptual Sketch. The notion of installing this is to educate the students inside campus. This is an exciting project where we( group of multidisciplinary students) tried to come up with the innovative way of designing the flow of water from Cistern to the Rain Garden. Therefore, among two ideas that I drew, our group decided to install one of them.
