Vulnerability is our superpower. As Pratt continues to grow and evolve, I have been thinking a lot about the nature of change. People come in and out of an organization over its lifespan—they generate change while they’re here and invite new change to fill the void after they move on. Pratt is essentially in a permanent state of flux, its only constant is that it is always being shaped by a unique combination of people at any given time. There is great vulnerability here, vulnerability that can power innovation, creativity and change—big, scary, beautiful change. This has perhaps been our greatest collective talent over the years, and the key to our long-term health. And it just so happens that this is exactly what we offer you through the artistic process. What are you waiting for? Time to power up.

Pay-What-You-Can Weekend Classes Pay-What-You-Can Weekend classes run fall, winter and spring during the school year on Saturdays and Sundays. Experiential 8 week art classes for youth ages 5 – 13 where students explore self-expression through painting, drawing, sculpture and other media. In a supportive environment students develop their creativity and become more comfortable with the process of making and the vocabulary of art. The pay-what-you-can model depends on your donations and support to ensure our sustainability. Pratt provides suggested donation amounts for selected classes with the goal of “paying it forward” and assisting those who struggle with providing affordable art experiences to their children.
