As I write this, I am practicing social distancing and self-isolation in the interest of public health. Perhaps by the time you read this, these strange days will be behind us. Regardless, I imagine that we’ll all be feeling the effects for quite some time.

The arts will be a huge part of our collective recovery. For morale. For healing. For social health. For economic stimulus. For humanity, prosperity and our overall quality of life. If you believe those things, then you know that Pratt is needed more than ever before. We are ready to serve. Hope to see you in our studios soon! Cheers!

Honoring Edwin T. Pratt and our creative community for over 40 years. Pratt Fine Arts Center serves as a lasting tribute to Edwin T. Pratt, a community leader who relentlessly championed open and equal access to educational and housing opportunities for all of Seattle’s residents. Pratt Fine Arts Center honors his memory by continuing to pursue its mission of making art education accessible to everyone, for people of all ages, all skill levels, and all backgrounds.

creative resilience C A M PA I G N

As we look ahead to recovery from the global pandemic that has been COVID-19, we face unprecedented new challenges. Our collective well-being has been compromised and the distance between us is greater than ever. As drivers of economic, social and mental health, we know that the arts will play a critical role in bringing our community back together. Over the next 8 months, Pratt will conduct a Creative Resilience Campaign to ensure that its vital programs may contribute to a community-wide rejuvenation and to secure the long-term health of the Center itself. The Creative Resilience Campaign will protect Pratt’s ability to achieve its mission when it is needed most.
