NEW BRAINS AND BRAWN- YOUTH STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM

with Training Space www.training-spaces.com/brains-brawn AGE 8-18 Brains and Brawn is a Strength and Conditioning Program for adolescents 8-18 designed to improve mental, emotional and physical resiliency. In order to maximize social and emotional learning, we implement growth mindset exercises, positive peer pressure and above the line thinking. Our strength program is made up of neuromuscular programming, muscular endurance, hypertrophy and strength. Our conditioning portion involves agility, speed, and explosive work. PLAY TENNIS THE STANFORD WAY!

Enjoy top-flight instruction from the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and long-time Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. Youth classes (8-14yrs) of 3-6 players will consist of eight 55 minute lessons. Terrific Tiny Tennis classes will consist of eight 40 minute lessons.

Students provide own rackets.

IMPORTANT: In case of rain, contact the recreation dept. at 650 7807311 within the hour before scheduled starting time for class status or check with the instructor by visiting WhitlingerSarsfieldTennis.com for contact information. If at any time the instructor is absent, report to the next scheduled lesson for makeup date.

NO POSTPONEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE INITIATED BY THE INSTRUCTOR OR THE REC. DEPT. unless notified to the contrary, make up lessons will be forwarded to the next normal meeting day and time. However, Fridays (for weekday lessons) or Sundays (for weekend lessons) may be used at the instructor’s discretion. HORSE TRAIL RIDES

AGE 8+ Take a trail ride on the beautiful all weather trails of Wunderlich park in Woodside. Your horse will take you on trails through beautiful redwoods with creeks and nature. This ride is for all levels of experience.Students should wear long pants and close toe shoes. We supply the helmet at no cost to student. ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH AN ADULT.

HOLIDAY HORSE CAMP

AGE 6-13 Come learn about horses and make new friends! Each camper will learn safety, saddling, horse breeds, herd behavior, and more! Campers will ride one hour each day of camp. Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Please bring snacks, lunch, water, and extra layers to accommodate the weather. We supply the helmet at no cost to student.

HORSEBACK RIDING WESTERN HORSEBACK RIDING LESSON

AGE 8+ Join us for a Western riding lesson. Student will learn horse safety, mounting, dismounting, steering, stopping, balance, posting trot, sitting trot. These lessons are perfect for beginners to intermediate riders. Each student progresses at their own level. Students should wear long pants and close toe shoes. We supply the helmet at no cost to student.

SADDLE CLUB

AGE 6-9 This class includes 15 minutes of ground work and a 30 minute riding lesson. Student will learn to saddle, safety around the horse and grooming. Students should wear long pants and close toe shoes. We supply the helmet at no cost to student. Classes are 4 weeks per session.
