Enjoy top-flight instruction from the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and longtime Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. Adult Pickleball classes consist of eight 55 minute lessons, max of 4 players per court. Students provide own paddles.
NEW ADULT NOVICE PICKLEBALL
AGE 18+ Learn the fundamentals of Pickleball, the fastest growing racket sport in the world! Class covers all the essential strokes (i.e. forehand, backhand, volleys, dinks, drop shots, overheads, serves), rules/ scoring, and basic play. Please join the FUN! Players provide their own paddles.
NEW ADULT LOW INTERMEDIATE PICKLEBALL
AGE 18+ Players will enhance their tactical and strategic play with competitive situational drills. This second level class is also designed to refine stroke techniques and will cover poaching and stacking formations. Players provide their own paddles.

WHERE CAN I PLAY PICKLEBALL?
Redwood City has added Pickleball lines to FOUR tennis court locations in Redwood City. You can play Pickleball on Red Morton Tennis Courts 1 & 2 where we also have special portable nets. In addition to Red Morton's outdoor courts, we have Pickleball lined courts at Andrew Spinas Park, Mezes Park, and Marlin Park, as well as on the indoor courts in Red Morton Gym.

Enjoy top-flight instruction from the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and longtime Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. Adult classes of 3-6 players will consist of eight 55 minute lessons. Students provide own rackets. IMPORTANT: In case of rain, contact the recreation dept. at 650 780-7311 within the hour before scheduled starting time for class status or check with the instructor by visiting WhitlingerSarsfieldTennis.com for contact information. If at any time the instructor is absent, report to the next scheduled lesson for makeup date. NO POSTPONEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE INITIATED BY THE INSTRUCTOR OR THE REC. DEPT. Unless notified to the contrary, make up lessons will be forwarded to the next normal meeting day and time. However, Fridays (for weekday lessons) or Sundays (for weekend lessons) may be used at the instructor’s discretion. NOTE: If an earlier class is postponed due to rain, all the following classes may also be postponed that day even if the courts become dry.

AGE 15 & UP Special Service, only 3-6 players! Develop the essential techniques with emphasis on control, depth, and direction. Lessons will also incorporate rules, sportsmanship, and basic doubles play.
ADULT LOW INTERMEDIATE TENNIS
AGE 15 & UP Special service! Only 3-6 players per class! For players who are consistent on a slow pace rally but needs to develop better depth, directional control, and use of spin. Review and strengthen stroke techniques with more emphasis on basic strategy and tactics.
ADULT INTERMEDIATE TENNIS
AGE 15 & UP Special Service, only 3-6 players! For players who are consistent on slow to medium paced shots but needs to develop more spin, power, and/or variety. Basic to advanced shots, strategy and tactics will be introduced and reinforced by performance enhancing drills.

INDIVIDUAL TENNIS LESSONS
Personal and semi-private lessons (1-4 players) taught by the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and longtime Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. All ages welcome, beginners to advanced.

Participants must then pay the recreation department and bring a copy of the receipt to the instructor on the day of the first lesson.
Location: Mezes Park Ct. #1 (instructor priority at all times) Red Morton Ct. #3 (Saturdays 8am-6pm)
Fee: $85 per hour or $240 for three one hour lessons (Add $5 per hour for each additional person).
