DIRECTOR HANNA HOOPER

Howdy! Hard to believe this semester of school is almost over and Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner! Of course, next up will be the major livestock shows and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. Make sure you keep up with the TJLA Facebook page for updates and announcements of meetings or activities. We would like to get everyone together in Fort Worth and Houston to start talking about Nationals in Grand Island, Nebraska. Speaking of Nationals 2017, I just got back from our junior fall board meeting, and planning is underway. Mark your calendar for July 1-7, 2017, and get ready for a funfilled week with satellite events, beef cook-off, kickball, and cattle of course. I will be sending out more information about various events and schedules as they are approved. With that said, fundraising is under way, and junior board members are looking for members who would like to be part of the “Corner Post Syndicate.” If you are unfamiliar with this program, which has been very successful in the past, a Corner Post Package heifer has been donated to sale prior to the National Limousin Sale in Denver. A $250 contribution will put you on the syndicate, it is tax deductible, and you will be recognized sale day and in Limousin Today. If you have any questions or would like to donate, contact Layton Schur or myself, either of us would be glad to assist you. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon, and GigEm!!
