Like many in attendance at the Indiana State Fair, we thought Lilly Jackson’s Champion Berkshire Gilt who went on to be named 6th Overall was pretty special. When we asked about purchasing her, we found out there was a littermate boar. We quickly got word from those that saw him as a weanling that he was the clear “stud” of the litter. When we talked to Jesse he told us that he thought the boar was pretty special as well and that the litter also included the Champion AOB @ California State Fair and several gilts being retained. Heat Stroke was a February boar we did not do justice to in the hustle to get the stud started. We did him
a disservice by not showing him at the open house but those that saw him later loved him and used him on some really good females. The most massive Berkshire we offer with a tail set and set to his rear two that is ideal AND it is all wrapped up in a perfectly marked jet-black package. Where we think it gets really fun is when you see the Shotgun Wedding impeccable rear leg structure laid under him with a pastern set that is not very easy to find in the Berkshire breed.
