Like many in attendance at the Indiana State Fair, we thought Lilly Jackson’s Champion Berkshire Gilt who went on to be named 6th Overall was pretty special. When we asked about purchasing her, we found out there was a littermate boar. We quickly got word from those that saw him as a weanling that he was the clear “stud” of the litter. When we talked to Jesse he told us that he thought the boar was pretty special as well and that the litter also included the Champion AOB @ California State Fair and several gilts being retained. When we saw Wedding Crasher in person we were glad we made the quick trip over as we feel he is absolutely a very unique Berkshire boar. He combines a flawless / athletic design with tons of shape and a powerfully jet-fronted head/neck. Big-legged and comes at you wide & true. If he does not have a significant impact to help continue the improvement of the Tamworth breed, we will be very surprised. We purchased Ferrari very late in the season and he is very young but it has been a blast to see visitor’s faces when we roll him out.
