Sherrie Kincaid

Meet our new life enrichment director, Sherrie Kincaid!

Sherrie joined Presbyterian Manor in March 2024. She previously worked activities position at a skilled nursing facility in Ottawa, Kan. She also currently works as a Sunday nursery attendant at First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.

Sherrie is studying Art and Psychology. She is also a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Sherrie practices a holistic lifestyle, enjoys arts & crafts, classical music, singing, playing the piano, and spending time with her daughter.

Stacey Bertz

Meet our new senior living sales director, Stacey Bertz!

Except, Stacey is not new to the community. She joined Presbyterian Manor in May 2022 as the life enrichment director – and you probably knew her as Stacey Schimmel.

She became sales director in March 2024. She has previously worked as the milieu therapist at Kids TLC, as at the time her passion was working with children. If you asked her now, she would say she is happy she made the switch to working with seniors.

She has bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation.

Stacey recently got married and changed her name to Bertz. She enjoys being active by going hiking with her three dogs, traveling, and reading when she can! u

Lawrence Presbyterian Manor announces Art is Ageless® winners

Lawrence Presbyterian Manor is excited to announce the winners of its recent Art is Ageless® juried competition and exhibit.

“We’re honored that local seniors allowed us to exhibit and judge their wonderful works,” said Stacey Bertz, senior living sales director.

“Art is Ageless is unique because it only features the works of artists who are 65 and over. Our artists prove it’s never too late to create art, in any form.
